I don't think Cows suffer from IBS. Do you?
Remember there being a fuss about cow farts and methane production.
Giving them a peppermint additive in their food. Giant Polo Mint?
Remember Sixties Hippies suggesting that the methane produced by cows. Could be used to fuel Power Stations.
Wow. Cow Power, Man. Far Out!
👍🐄🎇
Cows raised industrially, fed soya and maize, wintered and longer in sheds suffer from almosy constant stomach problems. Soya and maize are not part of a cows normal diet and they have difficulty digesting it.
That is why I have reduced our meat consumption to be able to afford Pasture for Life meat. Meat from animals grazed only on pasture and direct pasture products, like hay or silage from organic sources.
These animals do not have constant stomach and bowel problems and because their waste products go onto the fields they graze, making them more fertile. because as they graze they tread their waste products into the soil, there is no manure or slurry to be disposed off and the cattle produce fewer emissions. In some circumstances the cattle can be net contributors to global cooling.
Monica you are so wrong, overseas, places like US, Australia, South America, cows and calves live out on the range or bush, grazing in much the same was they do the UK.
Calves are then gathered and put into giant feedlots to fatten on Maize, Soya Grain and growth hormones, welfare is non existent, environmental control is non existent you would be appalled by the condition
But I guess you don't care as long as it's cheap.
