Not only do you now have to keep your forum down to eighteen letters, they can't manage to print it all when you do! hmm

wotsamashedupjingl Sat 25-Feb-12 14:30:48

The Byrds...........Mr. Tambourine Man. Takes me straight back to my teens!
Not Green Tambourine - it is NOT comparable! Don't want it in my head.

glammanana Sat 25-Feb-12 07:39:22

Nah!!! it had to be Merseybeat music at that time I think, they didn't last very long that was their only hit really in UK,but each to their own I say.

jeni Fri 24-Feb-12 16:03:49

wotsamashedupjingl Fri 24-Feb-12 15:46:56

I absolutely LOVE that record!!!!!!

youlothavegotnotaste

glammanana Fri 24-Feb-12 15:36:53

absent it was sung by a group called The Lemon Pipers in the early 60s the most awful record of its time I think.

syberia Fri 24-Feb-12 14:53:13

Oh yes, absent, I had forgotten that one!

absentgrana Fri 24-Feb-12 14:51:49

Except wasn't there some perfectly awful song called something like My Green Tambourine? No one would want to be associated with that.

syberia Fri 24-Feb-12 14:51:41

Is there a prize for the best suggestion ? grin

syberia Fri 24-Feb-12 14:49:59

wotsamashedupjingl Fri 24-Feb-12 13:16:45

You get really expert at it after a while! Do it in no time. grin

Re-doing the profile is a bit of a faff though. My gets shorter.

Butternut Fri 24-Feb-12 12:11:42

Cheers, whatsup.
That was a longer post from your normal ones, so thanks for explaining it all.
It sounds like a bit of a kerfuffle, but if works for you, then why not! wink

Carol Fri 24-Feb-12 12:05:52

.............she'll only change it when the fancy takes her!! I quite like the variation now grin

gracesmum Fri 24-Feb-12 11:46:47

Maybe we could have a competition to choose a new name for WAMUP/J?
I like bagitha's "Hi Jinks".

wotsamashedupjingl Fri 24-Feb-12 11:20:27

Glad you are better. [sunshine or whatever] smile

wotsamashedupjingl Fri 24-Feb-12 11:19:51

Butternut, sometimes I think "oh, it's (GN) not such a good thing, really", and I wander off, unsubscribing as I go. But then I decide to come back, and they won't let you back on with the same name (good thing - you could be impersonated). So, I come back with a different name, but try to keep it recognisable.

Last time (ish) I tried jingL which should have worked as they say you can try a mashed up phrase (their words). It didn't work. So I just used the phrase "whatisamashedupphrase". Then I thought I should add jingl somewhere.

Wipes sweat from brow and buggers off. (for now) smile
