I am now back from the short stay in the asylum talking about the budget and am very happy to have a bit more time to devote to reading all the posts and eating up the rest of the chocolates.

We are always here, even when we're having a glass of wine/have got our mouths full of cake being unobtrusive and discreet.

We did contact Woman's Hour, incidentally. They didn't use us but they say they are going to give us a mention and they have put a link on their website. Huh, well, their loss, we think.

I've just heard that the Woman's Hour programme was recorded on Mon last so
anything sent now is unlikely to be included. Ridiculous! I've been getting bored and exasperated by WH anyway.I've e-mailed twice in the past and not been quoted.
Gransnet is much better -lots more help and info and we do get lots of responses and support.

Apologies - it took me too long to stop giggling get through today's to-do list to reply earlier.

Josie has been allowed some time off for good behaviour. We have also rewarded her by reinstating the 'e' on the end of her name.

Geraldine is lying in a darkened room running around talking to people about the wonders of Gransnet. And as for me...I'm eating the bag of Quality Street someone very foolishly left on my desk reading and enjoying as much as ever.

I also (thank you for asking) have grandiose baking plans for the weekend when a small person in my household will become a slightly bigger person. Not sure whether I will pull them off...if I do I may need to change my name to NigellaGransnet. If I don't...I'll probably have to eat it all myself which would no doubt mean elasticated waists forever more.
