Do you think GNHQ, you could possibly tell us why this thread was deleted.

Thanking you very kindly.

Aren't you just a little bit bored with this now? confused

AlieOxon Thu 21-Jun-12 10:55:53

It's happening again today.

rosiemus Wed 20-Jun-12 16:38:00

Yes I agree. Posting great tracts of anything without explanation seems rather pointless apart from anything else.

Greatnan Wed 20-Jun-12 16:24:03

I would welcome a post from any believer that stated clearly what they believed, provided it was not offensive towards other people. I found the OP offensive and was glad it was deleted.

The Song isn't sermonising then.....that makes sense.

Is it promoting sex?

j04 Humpty Dumpty in Alice's `Adventures Through the Looking Glass, having defined "glory" as a nice knock-down argument, then explained that the meaning of words was simply a question of who is master.

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 13:43:48

Ah yes! I like that Humpty Dumpty! smile

I think I would enjoy the Alice books more now than I did when I was little! And I liked them a lot then. smile

Elegran Wed 20-Jun-12 13:36:24

Crossed post with Anagram She must have googled it and got it right.

Elegran Wed 20-Jun-12 13:35:20

Jingle it was in Alice In Wonderland that Humpty Dumpty said that. Don't think he had time to say anything as he fell off the wall (maybe "ouch!")

Anagram Wed 20-Jun-12 13:33:46

I think absent meant this Humpty Dumpty.

Thanks for the link to the history of Humpty Dumpty, jings.

jeni Wed 20-Jun-12 13:24:52

Who's we?

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 13:22:11

Is it like 'petrolhead'?

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 13:21:42

Do we?!

What does it mean?

feetlebaum Wed 20-Jun-12 13:19:03

"I don't think the word faithist exists."

Nah - we say 'faithhead' usually...

jeni Wed 20-Jun-12 13:13:51

Fascinating!

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 12:59:48

Oops! Missed the post out! hmm

he was a cannon originally

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 12:58:08

I suppose he said, "Bang!".

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 12:55:35

this lot don't include any speech by him

Bags Wed 20-Jun-12 12:44:34

ej, I know few people who call themselves Jewish but are not followers of Judaism. Some even happy to eat bacon, etc.

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 12:37:53

I thought it was obvious what I meant. I still think it was. The word I used - "racist" - was the word I meant to use.

Don't jewish people consider themselves to be one race as well as one religion, wherever they are in the world. Dating back to when they had no homeland?

I didn't know Humpty Dumpty talked. What did he say?

nanaej Wed 20-Jun-12 12:03:59

Is Judaism is considered a race as well as a religion?

absentgrana Wed 20-Jun-12 11:53:57

johanna The word Jew refers to a race as well as to someone who follows a religion.

j04 You can't just use words willy nilly to mean whatever you like in the manner of Humpty Dumpty. Or at least not if you expect other people to follow what you're talking about. grin

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 09:48:40

and if you can't get your head round that, well............... ! hmm

j04 Wed 20-Jun-12 09:47:11

What on earth do you mean by that?! shock

I'm not shrugging anything off!

I meant what I said. I thought perhaps GNHQ were worried it might turn into something racist. I was wrong, as Cari's explanation shows.

I appreciate there are muslims in many races, as there are jews, Christians, etc. etc. I don't need anyone here to tell me basic facts thank you.
