Thanks Josie - yet I was referring to my post of 28.09.12 13.23 about competitions in general as well, but I expect the same will apply.

As for the Crescent Moon - I'm getting mixed messages. I thought you were getting tech on to it. I must have misunderstood.
No of course, no one has ownership of emoticons. I just thought the community would enjoy a companion to the sunshine........

Feeling a bit miffed, frankly. When I asked a question about Gransnetters living in France, and not having the same opportunities re. free books etc., I get not a peep, zilch, nada from GNHQ.

Done. I see the top prize is a stay in a hotel for two adults and two children. This is a bit off-putting for those who are alone (I assume there would be no cash equivalent!). I'm sure I won't win the top prize but I think a little more thought could have been put into the top prize. In my own case, I am a widow, have no children, and all my friends and family have partners - so that prize would be of little use to me! I think there will be a number of people on here who are widowed.
