J08 If you can wear a tea towel in the same way as Brenda wears a headscarf, you must have a mightily funny-shaped head. grin

j08 Mon 04-Mar-13 22:15:56

I would wear it as a headscarf. Like her Majesty. #illusionsofgrandeur

I have been making a prototype (out of a paper napkin) but I do believe it's a winner. GERALDINE???????

Galen Mon 04-Mar-13 21:55:59

Stansgran Not yet – but there's a royal baby due so look out for the mugs, loving cups, tea towels, playing cards and other trashy souvenirs.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Mon 04-Mar-13 21:17:28

We like tea towels. Especially ones with cats on. Just saying

Stansgran Mon 04-Mar-13 21:13:07

Has any one advertised tea towels? I miss such interesting things when I do the housework.

Ana Mon 04-Mar-13 20:58:25

I still don't see why Mumsnet have got one - do they think that lot'll be kinder to the Royals than some of us? confused

Ariadne Mon 04-Mar-13 20:50:02

j08 Mon 04-Mar-13 20:37:10

grin even

j08 Mon 04-Mar-13 20:37:01

Yep! And I guess that is why it's not gonna happen. [ghrin]

I for one would have no objection to a Royal forum on Gransnet but, just like every forum, it has to be open to anyone who wants to post any kind of comment apart from denigrating other Gransnetters or advertising tea towels. So if I want to suggest that we should Ekaterinburg the remaining Hanovers, trepan the Duke of Edinburgh's skull to see if there is any kind of brain cell in there somewhere, ignore the Duchess of Cambridge's choice of clothes or castrate Prince Harry without anaesthetic, then I'm allowed to say so. grin

Ariadne Mon 04-Mar-13 20:16:31

You know, I don't really give a toss flying fig.

Galen Mon 04-Mar-13 20:11:44

George's flag!!!

merlotgran Mon 04-Mar-13 19:45:14

I prefer to see the Royals popping up in unexpected places. grin

j08 Mon 04-Mar-13 19:37:55

grin

Anne58 Mon 04-Mar-13 18:38:47

That made my eyes hurt.

Ana Mon 04-Mar-13 18:35:23

I see they've got it in for the Daily Mail as well! grin

j08 Mon 04-Mar-13 18:32:25

actually it doesn't seem very popular over there

Squidgymummy hasn't had an answer yet. hmm

j08 Mon 04-Mar-13 18:26:52

Well, it's white forums actually. On a blue background.

j08 Mon 04-Mar-13 18:26:10

Yes. I mean in the lists that come up when you click on the blue "Forums" (just under the banner)

Ana Mon 04-Mar-13 18:16:52

I think jingl means a separate forum as in the Forums list, Ariadne, which includes Chat, Science, Religion etc. I'm always a bit confused, myself....confused

Ariadne Mon 04-Mar-13 18:12:15

A forum just for them? Bet there is one somewhere, for those who want it. A thread? Why not - go for it jingl! Or has it all been said?

Ana Mon 04-Mar-13 17:30:39

We'll probably have to have that worm thing again - which as jingl pointed out, is the wrong colour!
