Ana Tue 19-Mar-13 13:35:27

As soon as I looked at your boiler thread, Galen, I got one for the Boiler Scrappage scheme!

Jingle - are you still getting a random string of letters? If so, can you let us know the URL of the page you're looking at please?

Galen Mon 18-Mar-13 22:57:53

To block the personalised ads on Firefox, you can tick a box in Tools/Options/Privacy. It says "Tell websites I do not want to be tracked" and can be ticked or unticked.

Internet Explorer probably has something similar.

Trout may of course be caught by using twisted knickers as a landing net.

Elegran Mon 18-Mar-13 15:21:13

Don't bother Googling guddle. It means messing about untidily. The kitchen can be described as in a guddle when you have cooked for a large number of people without time (in between chopping and stirring and moving food from a burnt pan into a clean one) to clear up and wash preparation dishes and so on.

Or you can guddle for trout, which (in English) is tickling trout.

soop Mon 18-Mar-13 15:16:57

I believe it means - getting your knickers in a twist... Back to the ironing board...wink

Elegran Mon 18-Mar-13 15:16:10

I think those who are not blessed with Jingles string of numbers may have ticked somewhere that they do not want to be tracked like this. I'll have a look to see where you tick (for those who would rather not get their adverts specially tailored)

Watch this space.

j08 Mon 18-Mar-13 15:15:18

guddle was your word! Not mine!!! shock grin

soop Mon 18-Mar-13 15:14:32

And here am I googling the word "guddle"...and now, I really am leaving this time-wasting forum alone. wink

j08 Mon 18-Mar-13 15:11:56

You said "good grieg". And I thought of Greggs the Bakers.

Never mind. Go and have a sit down. grin

soop Mon 18-Mar-13 15:09:24

I'm waiting...

soop Mon 18-Mar-13 15:08:38

Okay, Jings enlighten me. And then I'll log off...

soop Mon 18-Mar-13 15:07:44

j08 Mon 18-Mar-13 15:03:13
