Rats! Missed another one. B****y work [nosy curious emoticon]

gracesmum Wed 27-Mar-13 19:39:42

I think we have been mercifully free of the evil creatures that sit under bridges and frighten little billy goats for a while now and it is a nicer place for it smile

kittylester Wed 27-Mar-13 19:37:31

If it wasn't the one I reported, which was it? I'm really confused now confused) I've had a bad day!!

janeainsworth Wed 27-Mar-13 18:47:44

Well, they are genuine in that they want us to click on the links in their postings. You may not be interested in what they are selling, but some people who view GN might be.

Riverwalk Wed 27-Mar-13 18:33:30

Genuine advertisers don't start/join a thread do they?

I think we are all savvy enough to suss out the chancers! smile

Galen Wed 27-Mar-13 18:22:12

River thanks!
I always miss the interesting stuffsad

j08 Wed 27-Mar-13 18:20:57

True

Ana Wed 27-Mar-13 18:19:10

But once it's been reported, people don't have to keep on saying that they've reported it too....

j08 Wed 27-Mar-13 18:14:23

Can't have people advertising without paying though. Wouldn't be fair on the site owners.

j08 Wed 27-Mar-13 18:12:58

That's right Jane. (stops them ebing inundated)

But it would be good if some of the threads could stay around for a bit.

Perhaps HQ think it would give GN a bad name.

Riverwalk Wed 27-Mar-13 17:58:33

Galen next time I catch a saucy thread I'll copy and paste it to you, just in case you're working that day! grin

Jane, in the main, the unofficial adverts that appear as threads are so obvious and usually rubbish in content that I don't think any GN member would be taken in by them - and I'm sure that they don't have a harmful effect on genuine advertisers. smile

janeainsworth Wed 27-Mar-13 17:48:00

I don't think it's prissy to report the adverts riverwalk.
The moderators can't watch everything all the time and it helps them if we report stuff. The point about the adverts is that the genuine advertisers pay to place their adverts, and those who sneak in without paying are getting the advertising for nothing.
If someone posts that they've reported the advert, it saves everyone else from doing it and it means the moderators aren't inundated with reports about the same advert smile

Galen Wed 27-Mar-13 17:45:40

Rivergrin
I missed this as I was working!
In future please do not delete saucy threads til I've had a chance to look at them!

Riverwalk Wed 27-Mar-13 17:33:11

I'm always surprised, and very disappointed, when members prissily jump in and declare 'reported' (much like a Head Girl at school) when someone posts a saucy/advert/crazy thread!

Surely GNHQ can take care of these things?

I was looking forward to learning, in relation to a younger lover, how one 'inboxes' !! grin

j08 Wed 27-Mar-13 17:22:38

Kitty knows which one she reported, don't you kitty? smile

janeainsworth Wed 27-Mar-13 17:20:22

Which was the one that Kitty reported then? confused

j08 Wed 27-Mar-13 17:09:26

kittylester Wed 27-Mar-13 17:05:41

Sorry I reported it if it was that much fun - if it was the one I reported. confused

soop Wed 27-Mar-13 16:27:40

As usual, I've lost the thread. What a wind-up!

Movedalot Wed 27-Mar-13 16:18:27

gracesmum Wed 27-Mar-13 15:28:03

j08 Wed 27-Mar-13 15:24:38
