Beware advertising

Forza That happened to me too and for a while I checked my credit card account online on a daily basis.
Nothing happened, but if the card had been misused, the credit card company would have been liable.
I was annoyed too because if I remember rightly it took quite a while before it was made clear what you were letting yourself in for.

Forzanonna - look at my story at the end of the Estee Lauder thread. If it is Collagenta, not only do they charge you if you do not return them, but you find you are unknowingly signed up for a repeat consignment ( and money taken for it) every month!

I have returned the package unopened and emailed them to say so - and TWICE they have replied that I had sent them a blank email!

That crooked form has adverts everywhere. They are all over Facebook. There they say "testers wanted" - and just after the Estee Lauder trial, it seemed reasonable . . .

Jane did you receive stuff and return it? Was the money removed from your account just the same? I have changed my account so should be OK, but it is worrying.

Elegran No, I realised what the deal was after I had put in my card details but before I pressed the submit button.
I was just about to, but something made me go back and check the small print - very lucky really as I'm usually too lazy to do that.
It's put me off ordering anything online except from companies I feel I know and trust.

janeainsworth I feel exactly the same. Once your details are in there that's it - don't know what made me read the small print either - just I'm always a bit wary I think.

I usually am, but it was late at night, I had put my name in for the Estee Lauder test and not been chosen, I was fed up with my eyes . . . a weak moment!
