I love the concept of a delectable offence. grin

gracesmum Wed 26-Jun-13 17:13:59

I wondered what constituted a delectable offence - had to be naughty but nice grin

Nonu Wed 26-Jun-13 16:54:05

AKA , well you know what I"m like !!! smile

Aka Wed 26-Jun-13 16:41:12

Nonu I wondered when someone would spot that! grin

soop Wed 26-Jun-13 15:38:26

jings Thought long and hard about it and opted for sitting in my comfy chair with a nice pot of tea and a cat on my lap. Fair do's...will return to normal routine when bot less sore. Makes sense. In the meantime, you keep on peddling...wink

I thought that ana thread about a thread, not allowed.

when

"I'm fed up of the constant jockeying for position, and personal jibes that only some people understand and the rest of us are left wondering what's going on. It's excluding and it shows the person doing it in a bad light."

I do so agree with you. I often wonder what has happened that I am missing out on.confused I'm not sure discussing the contents of a PM is a good thing to do. It is after all private. The content might be misquoted, we don't know what happened to cause it, we only in fact get one side of the story. Not helpful imo.

While we are on the subject of what we are 'fed up' about, I find it irritating when someone jumps to a conclusion about one of us which bears no relationship to the actual post. It always seems to me that the person doing that is trying to make the person they are doing it too appear in a bad light. Not very adult behaviour imo

I shall shortly take my seat for the Andy match. Mr soop has bought me a dark choc Magnum. Backside is beginning to spread [just a tad] but still cannot face putting my backside on the saddle of the exercise bike. grin

j08 Wed 26-Jun-13 12:01:16

soop grin !

j08 Wed 26-Jun-13 12:00:32

You will soon catch up on dgs's birthday. Give a second one when you see her. smile

soop Wed 26-Jun-13 12:00:23

soop Wed 26-Jun-13 11:58:51

Anyone for a coffee and a buttery shortbread...wink

j08 Wed 26-Jun-13 11:58:19

Hope you are having a lovely cruise Galen. sunshine

Re thread - it's not my fault. smile

Nonu Wed 26-Jun-13 11:57:52

AKA , if there is one thing I love it is a delectable offence , bring it on. Laugh !

soop Wed 26-Jun-13 11:57:44

Galen I cannot enlighten you. Know what...it's kind of comforting to be unsavvy I like it when we all get along just fine, and I also like it when we have short-lived feather-ruffling interludes. Sooner or later we sort ourselves out. So, what's the problem? There ain't one! grin

Galen Wed 26-Jun-13 11:03:22

What's going on? I nip away to the Faroe Islands for a few minutes and threads start vanishing!
Jingle what have you been doing while my back's turned?
Can somebody fill me in when I return on Sunday. Wifi on board is ridiculously expensive. You can't Skype either and it's dgd's second birthday tomorrowsad
Love to you all!

j08 Wed 26-Jun-13 10:36:20

Geraldine will be on in a minute telling me it's just not so!

j08 Wed 26-Jun-13 10:34:46

I guess it has got charity status now it has linked up with AgeUk. But that could be for tax purposes.

Still stand by "it's just a business". To them that is.

j08 Wed 26-Jun-13 10:31:46

Oh yes! The competitions. wink

kittylester Wed 26-Jun-13 10:23:32

I'm not sure Gransnet in itself is there to support 'grannies' it is a vehicle for us to support each other .......or not, as the case may be. sunshine

mollie Wed 26-Jun-13 10:13:51

Fair enough...I must stop taking people literally!

Bags Wed 26-Jun-13 09:59:05

Same as the grannies, I guess, mollie. I, and probably Jingle too, was using the term "grannies" loosely enough to cover grandads and other people old enough to be grandparents but not, plus any other interested bods. The forums can be (and often are) supportive.

Then there's web chats, competitions, etc.
