During which they are only allowed to post on threads, not start them.

The threads on which they would be allowed to post would be restricted to observations about the weather, product recommendations (positive comments only) knitting and other crafts and how nice puppies and kittens are.

grin I dont think geographically it makes any difference on here wink, I am from the North East, but we are surrounded by fields.

Supernannyx3 Mon 29-Jul-13 08:43:37

I suppose it depends where you're from. You all from down south. I'm in the Midlands and we're all slightly bonkers here. Must be the fact that we are surrounded my fields.

Ella46 Mon 29-Jul-13 08:33:19

Welcome! smile This is what we need, more mad members! grin

glassortwo Mon 29-Jul-13 08:31:50

grin pleased that you dont have to eat cake to qualify as I can take it or leave it... leave it mostly. But a vodka and tonic or a glass or two of wine now thats a different story altogether wink

Supernannyx3 Mon 29-Jul-13 08:25:48

I like gin, vodka and wine but champers does it for me every time. Nothing better than sitting in my hot tub drinking champers cos I can now I'm retired! Grand kids like it too. (The hot tub that is not the champers - they're a tad too young to be enjoying themselves).

tiggypiro Mon 29-Jul-13 08:10:46

I'm a newby too and thought I was joining a sane group of people who would be serious about life in general and especially about being a Grandparent. I can't tell you how pleased I am that I was wrong - you lot seem to be part of the barmy brigade and so 3 loud cheers for that !

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and forum. I have pearls but threw the Twinset away years ago but have a shawl. How many posts before I'm through my probation?

Ella46 Mon 29-Jul-13 07:42:52

I like gin and I have some pearls, but they're not real, and I don't have a twin set thank goodness.

I think I'm a little bit odd sometimes, but I don't have access to any black balls! hmm

kittylester Mon 29-Jul-13 05:16:34

Does it matter what colour the twin set is. As I don't already have one, I thought I'd rush out and buy one but I'd check the most acceptable colour. I do have pearls but not quite sure where they are and I can't stand gin. [worried emoticon]

But, I lurve cake cupcake

absent Sun 28-Jul-13 23:18:35

I don't really like cake either but am partial to the occasional glass of gin and tonic. If anyone has to take a test, it should be graduates. I don't like twinsets but do like pearls. I thought it was [red] wine that was said to dissolve pearls. The way to keep pearls lustrous is to wear them – dead easy. I like odd and I like a lot of odd gransnetters. I could list you but GNHQ will delete me – you know who you are. I like being odd too. So there. grin

Aka Sun 28-Jul-13 22:56:40

Aka Sun 28-Jul-13 22:54:59

Swiss roll....not fat fingers. I'm in shock.

Aka Sun 28-Jul-13 22:50:59

Galen Sun 28-Jul-13 21:33:38

I was referring to feetle's 'family jewels' which he referred to in the singular. I was medically interested, not to strange people!

Nonu Sun 28-Jul-13 21:13:23

Gosh Frank , you Have been told !!

I for one cannot really see the harm !!!

confused

Ana Sun 28-Jul-13 21:03:15

I don't like cake....am I banned?! shock

LaraGransnet (GNHQ) Sun 28-Jul-13 20:54:11

Yes, everyone's allowed on Gransnet, not just grandparents. Twinsets, pearls and gin are also not obligatory - although cake is. Actually, the gin can be quite useful too. Not helpful referring to other users as 'strange' or 'odd' so please don't.

HUNTERF Sun 28-Jul-13 19:49:48

Galen

Can you name any other odd people on Gransnet?.

Frank

Nonu Sun 28-Jul-13 17:54:31

Galen confused !!

Galen Sun 28-Jul-13 17:43:21

Only one?

feetlebaum Sun 28-Jul-13 17:41:35

It's mostly sentimental value these days...

(I may weep...)

Nonu Sun 28-Jul-13 17:38:35

Feetle keeps a tight hold on his family jewels !!!
