Would the picture we put up be copied exactly, or would it be drawn properly before production by the professionals? Would just the general idea be enough?

Thanking you. smile

I've voted - can I vote again - for the same person obviously grin

If you go to the section where you can vote, there is a thing that you can click on at the bottom that shows how many votes each entry has received so far sad

Anne58 Sun 03-Nov-13 12:49:43

phoenix

Very chuffed to be shortlisted, Mr P will be pleased.

Are you going to put a pinned thread, like the pumpkin carving one?

PS Love the art work in the one by Pkdavis.

Hi phoenix, loved your design! smile

We can't sticky it, because it's not a thread. But it has been sitting on the homepage and in Latest, as well as promoted on Facebook and Twitter.

<fingers crossed> for you!

Oh, and that is supposed to be a laptop. With the logo on the screen. If that helps.

Anne58 Mon 28-Oct-13 23:18:19

Daft I know, but I'm really hoping to make the shortlist!

(Not making many shortlists elsewhere, grumble grumble)

Anne58 Mon 28-Oct-13 17:03:23

How many entries have you had so far, Kat?

JoyBloggs Mon 28-Oct-13 16:39:14

GNHQ, can I assume that by 'end of the day' you mean midnight? ... my design is still in my head but hoping to get the pens out tonight!

Anne58 Mon 28-Oct-13 15:46:22

Thanks Kat, I have just reported myself blush

Just to say, would have preferred high heeled shoes to slippers, but hopefully you get the gist!

KatGransnet (GNHQ) Mon 28-Oct-13 15:41:45

Hi phoenix - yes we've received your entry. We're going to keep the page up until the end of the day for any late entries. Good luck all!

Anne58 Mon 28-Oct-13 14:58:36

Hello?

Cooee?

Anne58 Mon 28-Oct-13 14:39:19

Right then, I have submitted Mr P's my design, hope it's not too late!

Actually, it really was my design, in that I thought of it, it's just that Mr P is much better at drawing them I am! grin

I know it said that the entry must be made by 28th, so I am crossing my fingers that it's ok.

Anyone about at HQ to confirm?

Haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting Stine. Wouldn't mind having someone like her as my 'bessie mate' though. Am rather lacking in design flair.

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 21:23:44

Colin Morgan's next project coming soon at the Harold Pinter theatre

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 21:20:48

That was a link. Wouldn't want you to miss it. smile

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 21:20:18

was so good!

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 21:19:03

I think GNHQ might be able to take it. smile

Been watching Whitechapel on catch-up. (Waiting for the DVD of The Tempest at The Globe to come out) (last thing Colin Morgan was in)

gracesmum Wed 16-Oct-13 21:10:06

j08 have you run out of Merlin DVDs or something? @stoptakingthep*ss

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 20:49:15

Is she your bessie mate Lara? smile

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 20:48:53

Why is Ms Stine bothering to faff around with a Gransnet tea towel? confused

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 20:46:49

Oh, pleeeease tell me what " holistic forecasting services" services are.

And does "development of insight through to delivery of product design" mean she will do it for us (when we can't draw)?

j08 Wed 16-Oct-13 20:35:11

"Stine is an award-winning Danish designer who has collaborated with major corporations internationally. She worked initially with fashion industries in Italy and France before moving to London in 1996 and later setting up her own trend consultancy. Stine has been providing holistic forecasting services, encompassing the development of insight through to delivery of product design, for more years than she is willing to admit and she is today thoroughly embedded in the London design scene."

Really? Gosh.

hmm
