Happy Birthday Gransnet wine cupcake flowers birthday3

Well here we are another year old, its been a old strange year for me.

Gransnet has changed over the last year with lots of new members and some members who we have lost but wont be forgotten. Heres wine to the good fun and some fantastic support that can be found here on GN.

Thanks to all the team at GNHQ who put up with all our shenanigans. smile

Can't imagine life without GN! Thank you, happy birthday and love to all the friends I have made, who have kept me sane / drove me mad, supported me.

Happy Birthday Gransnet. birthday3 I'm definitely addicted. Get quite put out if real life gets in the way. grin

Happy 3rd birthday to Gransnet (AND happy 3rd birthday to my first granddaughter, Izzy! ) I love the huge variety of topics, the competitions, my local site in North Yorkshire and the fact that Gransnet feels right for me.

birthday3 Sometimes frustrating, always interesting, had some lovely prizes, some lovely real & virtual friends gained from it - & I'd never have known what a Hackathon was without it!

Ooh, Happy Birthday! wine

I found it when I googled 'empty nest syndrome', and it was lovely to find a discussion on it and not just a clinical description. And to find Grandmas! Mumsnet always seemed a bit too big and unwieldy to me, Gransnet is the sitting-room to Mumsnet's School Canteen!

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-May-14 11:52:02

rosequartz it's an off-shoot of the extremely lucrative Mumsnet.

Is it really three years? I remember being so excited when it was mentioned on mumsnet as I was looking forward to some more reasoned discussions and some granny related posts!

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANSNET. Without it I would get so much more done, but life would be far less fun. cupcake wine flowers

Three cheers for Gransnet! One of the few sites that makes me laugh out loud at times. (Then I have to explain to DH, what I am reading.)

OMG. kept me sane at times. Also frittered-away manyhours. Good job its not a forum that keeps count of posts as some do blush
Most memorable moments were the mad pantomime (first winter) and the afternoon a certain well-known member wondered if it was OK to give her daughter a vaginal muscle training device on Xmas morning. LOL for about an hour.

Charleygirl Mon 05-May-14 17:54:55

I am also very glad that I joined and I have also "met" some very nice people. birthday3

rosequartz Mon 05-May-14 17:16:39

Before I saw this this thread I was idly wondering this morning who started Gransnet, was it a few Grans or some Mums who had 'outgrown' mumsnet or another person/organisation altogether?

Anyway, happy birthday GN birthday3 - long may you continue to offer chat, a robust exchange of views, help and support
