By? Where did that come from?

NfkDumpling Mon 27-Oct-14 07:31:03

Incredible! With videos like that I may have passed by geography O Level!

Incredible to realise too that there's 30 or so metres above that stack!

Thanks Icy

this one is amazing and explains beautifully what causes it.

Agus Sun 26-Oct-14 22:41:32

It's certainly a thrilling experience grin

janeainsworth Sun 26-Oct-14 22:33:11

He's just shown me a video of it! shock shock

janeainsworth Sun 26-Oct-14 22:28:02

grin apparently MrA & co only went past the end of it!

Agus Sun 26-Oct-14 22:24:40

Correyvreckan is a good experience and DH, also away with mates, had a vision of me in black a couple of times grin

janeainsworth Sun 26-Oct-14 22:09:58

Actually Agus MrA has been sailing in W Scotland with his mates and their exploits sound far more exciting than our rather sedate voyage smile

Agus Sun 26-Oct-14 21:55:56

What a wonderful experience for you both Jane. Most of our sailing was done in W Scotland, nothing as adventurous as your trip. Continue to enjoy.

I agree with you annsixty about not wasting time if you have the opportunity to travel.

janeainsworth Sun 26-Oct-14 21:02:46

Thanks Nfk, glad you enjoy it - next gripping instalment any day now grin
Actually it really helps me think about and remember what we've done, rather than everything just drifting by and then not being able to remember where it was we talked to so-and-so, or went to a particular restaurant.
And people here in the USA are so kind and friendly, too.

NfkDumpling Sun 26-Oct-14 20:48:40

I've been following your blog Jane. Love it. Thank you for sharing your adventure.

annsixty Sun 26-Oct-14 20:46:22

Oh how I envy you.It sounds wonderful. I so urge any GNers who have the opportunity to travel and fulfill their dreams to do so and not waste time. This is from experience.

janeainsworth Sun 26-Oct-14 20:37:59

Oh thank you Ann for your kind words smile
We've been travelling on our boat on the Intracoastal Waterway through Georgia, North and South Carolina, since mid -September (MrA's dream). We'll be home in mid-November.
It's been great, and tomorrow we're looking forward to DD2 and SiL joining us for a few days.
Today I've been frantically cleaning the boat in readiness blush

It's been fun, but having Wifi and being able to keep in touch with my friends on GN as well as in real life has been a big help in not feeling too cut off!

annsixty Sun 26-Oct-14 19:53:03

Well janea you really don't need to reply to my post and I hope you know that. But I always read your posts. They are mostly a voice of reasoned thinking in what sometimes can be unpleasant and self interested, and if you are still away I hope you are having a good time.

janeainsworth Sun 26-Oct-14 16:55:47

Well, I think the I'm on facility's quite important.
It's usually the first thing I look at to see if I need to reply to anyone who's replied to me.

Hi JackyB.

I've found your post on there, so I know you've posted!

Threads I'm on does reset itself once in a while and doesn't show the threads which you've posted on, although the posts are still there. It should show up on your 'Watching' though.

We're not trying to keep you out, we love having you around, so it's more likely to be a glitch (we do get them from time to time, sadly, and they usually sort themselves out). Is this causing a huge problem for you?

I know for definite that I have posted to a thread on pedants' corner, and can see my posts when I read the thread. However, it doesn't come up when I click on "I'm on". So I marked it "Watch this thread" but it still doesn't show when I click on "Watching".

Is someone trying to keep me out by deleting it from my lists?
