flashing banner

Is anyone else getting the extremely irritating flashing banner about being the 100000 visitor? This ad has been annoying people for years but no one seems to know where it comes from or how to get rid of it. It appears on several websites but the one on Gransnet has been there for days and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Obviously you don't want to click on it! It's driving me mad!

Yes!! And there's no AdChoices option at the top right hand corner to click on either. It's very, very annoying, I agree angry

I have got it daily for 3 days now as well.

I nearly fell for the trick.
But my husband told me in no uncertain terms, that I was not to click on it grin

Yes! I downloaded an ad-blocker on my laptop some time ago, which deals with all these annoying adverts, but I haven't as yet done this for my iMac (which I'm on at the moment and it's driving me nuts!!)
