Mobile updated. Thoughts?

I reverted to the old site yesterday! Maybe because it is what I am used to and because I don't have to think differently. Sorry!

I love that I can go between the two so easily. I would probably use the mobile site when I am away on holiday or away for the weekend, but I do like being able to post photos. Even if they do have to be midget-sized, file-wise.

Thank you gransnet, for the mobile site. I like it. Particularly the fact that you can post photos on any thread. I have found a way round having to reduce the picture size too. Well done.

I love the mobile site but still can't access profiles so have to switch to the old site for that.

I thought you could now post photos on any thread on the ordinary site as well as the mobile one, hilda.

And my profile is still asking me how many children I have, not grandchildren!

Can't access other members' profiles on the mobile site either. In fact there seems to be no differentation between those who have profiles and those who don't - all the names are blue...

How do you switch, please? on my Kindle it goes straight to the mobile version (which is fine, excepting when I want to view a photo).

I waste a lot of time looking at threads I've already seen because of the lack of last poster.

Just tried to report a post on the Agoraphobia thread but it didn't seem to work!

how do I go on it, I thought it was ok as it was I could get on gnet via my mobile phone anyway?

I can't see where you can report a post from the mobile site. Had to switch to the desktop site.

I agree, not being able to see the last poster is annoying.
ethelbags1 My phone and Kindle both swapped to the new site automatically. I have left it that way although I am not really seeing the advantage of the mobile site.

I too prefer the desktop site, I can see if threads have been added to, who the last poster is etc and while the facility to add photos is a great idea, I haven't managed to get it to work anyway! So thank you for the idea, but I will stick with the desktop site.

I tried to make my profile blue but it wouldn't let me 'save', I had to do it via the desktop sites.

Soutra, you can post photos on all threads on the desktop site now as well.

Hmm - not sure whether you were talking about the mobile site or not re photos so my post might be irrelevant!

What does the grey spot at the bottom of the page do? If I click on it nothing happens.
