Thanks for all your patience while we've tested out the mobile site. flowers. It's been great to have so much helpful feedback. We think (fingers crossed!) we've sorted out most of the niggles by now but if there's anything new that's come up, or there's anything we've missed, please let us know on this thread. We're looking to see if we can sort out the 'Last hour' option too so we'll report back on that as soon as we can. And for anyone who hasn't tested it out yet, please have a go and let us know what you think.

I reverted to the old site yesterday! Maybe because it is what I am used to and because I don't have to think differently. Sorry! blush

I love that I can go between the two so easily. I would probably use the mobile site when I am away on holiday or away for the weekend, but I do like being able to post photos. Even if they do have to be midget-sized, file-wise.

Thank you gransnet, for the mobile site. I like it. Particularly the fact that you can post photos on any thread. I have found a way round having to reduce the picture size too. Well done. smile

I love the mobile site but still can't access profiles so have to switch to the old site for that.

Ana Fri 26-Jun-15 16:01:52

I thought you could now post photos on any thread on the ordinary site as well as the mobile one, hilda.

Ana Fri 26-Jun-15 16:03:15

And my profile is still asking me how many children I have, not grandchildren!

Ana Fri 26-Jun-15 16:05:23

Can't access other members' profiles on the mobile site either. In fact there seems to be no differentation between those who have profiles and those who don't - all the names are blue...confused

Lona Fri 26-Jun-15 16:10:59

Glad you've said that Ana , I feel as though I'm the main 'complainer'! grin

Grannyknot Fri 26-Jun-15 17:09:24

How do you switch, please? confused on my Kindle it goes straight to the mobile version (which is fine, excepting when I want to view a photo).

ninathenana Fri 26-Jun-15 17:20:08

Grannyknot scroll to the very bottom of the page. Past the annoying advert and click on desktop site

Grannyknot Fri 26-Jun-15 18:52:56

Thank you! Doh.

kittylester Sat 27-Jun-15 07:35:25

I waste a lot of time looking at threads I've already seen because of the lack of last poster.

Lona Sat 27-Jun-15 08:12:21

Just tried to report a post on the Agoraphobia thread but it didn't seem to work!

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Sat 27-Jun-15 08:50:35

Hi Lona -just to say it did work, but we have mentioned to tech the fact that it's not clear to a reporter whether they have or haven't managed to report a post.

Kitty - we will pass this on

etheltbags1 Mon 29-Jun-15 20:26:06

how do I go on it, I thought it was ok as it was I could get on gnet via my mobile phone anyway?

Brendawymms Tue 30-Jun-15 08:14:26

I can't see where you can report a post from the mobile site. Had to switch to the desktop site.

Brendawymms Tue 30-Jun-15 09:51:04

Found how to do it on the mobile site! smile

ninathenana Tue 30-Jun-15 17:27:16

I agree, not being able to see the last poster is annoying.
ethelbags1 My phone and Kindle both swapped to the new site automatically. I have left it that way although I am not really seeing the advantage of the mobile site.

Soutra Tue 30-Jun-15 19:46:43

I too prefer the desktop site, I can see if threads have been added to, who the last poster is etc and while the facility to add photos is a great idea, I haven't managed to get it to work anyway! So thank you for the idea, but I will stick with the desktop site.

Lona Tue 30-Jun-15 21:22:44

I tried to make my profile blue but it wouldn't let me 'save', I had to do it via the desktop sites.

Ana Tue 30-Jun-15 22:33:23

Soutra, you can post photos on all threads on the desktop site now as well.

Ana Tue 30-Jun-15 22:36:08

Hmm - not sure whether you were talking about the mobile site or not re photos so my post might be irrelevant!

What does the grey spot at the bottom of the page do? If I click on it nothing happens.
