...as bitching on a very sensitive thread is not a good idea.

a) I have already explained my position on the thread in question.

b) Nothing wrong with my arguments. Bloody sight more sensible than some on here. And they don't come from up my backside, being as my head isn't there. Unlike some.

Why do you complain, when you dont want your issues resolved? I dont understand that mentality.

Anya Thu 02-Jul-15 11:36:22

S2B gave you ever considered you need to get out more?

soontobe Thu 02-Jul-15 10:51:52

! No Brendawymms. It was the France and Tunisia thread.

petallus, I will try and remember that smile

petallus Thu 02-Jul-15 10:49:31

If someone has a go at me please don't rescue me soon smile

Now brendawymms thinks it was her you reported!

Brendawymms Thu 02-Jul-15 10:44:24

As it was my thread that may (?) have sparked the report, being the one nearest the time of report to GN. I am concerned as I thought my comment was balanced and reasonable. Goodbye.

This is a self moderating forum ie we don't have mods; therefore it's down to the individual to report to HQ. This is the only forum I use that seems to regard moderating as 'snitching'. It isn't a girls school; it's a self moderating forum. I don't see what the problem is confused.

In life, many many people do not report things to authorities. But are glad when someone else has.

soontobe Thu 02-Jul-15 09:48:00

Do headquarters keep an eye on things?
If they do, then why do they want reports?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 02-Jul-15 09:16:59

Don't take that seriously!!!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 02-Jul-15 09:16:12

Why do you worry so much about it though? Have you got shares in Gransnet? confused

petallus Thu 02-Jul-15 09:12:39

soontobe if you think someone has personally attacked you and you don't like it, you can report it to HQ. If you think someone else has been personally attacked, let that person deal with it. IMO reporting on someone else's behalf is patronising. As for the whole tone of a thread, well we will all have different ideas on that. Some of us like calm debate, others a bit of spark or even friction. HQ keep on eye on things so you can relax and leave it to them.

soontobe Thu 02-Jul-15 09:00:47

I reported the thread, because I am not always correct as to what is a personal attack and what is not.
So I thought it was easier to let gransnet sort it out.
I didnt mean that the entire thread was reportable!
I hope that gransnet didnt think I meant that? blush
Is that what people thought on here too?
[the last time I reported a non spam post was in April, so not twitchy. But maybe more twitchy than some].

Soutra Thu 02-Jul-15 07:56:34

They always say that soontobe ! Likewise, reporting an offensive post is your prerogative. . . . . But a thread? Too much like running to teacher hmm

absent Thu 02-Jul-15 06:32:09

soontobe Why did you report the entire thread rather than the individual post(s) that you thought might be contrary to GN rules? It does seem that you have a rather twitchy finger on the report button.

soontobe Wed 01-Jul-15 23:36:13

Gransnet said at 2.22pm this afternoon, and I quote "Thank you for letting us know. We will keep an eye on it

I've just skimmed through this thread. Apart from my original post, which I explained in the thread, I haven't actually said much on it. confused

Anya Wed 01-Jul-15 22:32:59

GG62 only tongue in cheek smile

I lost the thread a long time ago!

Trouble is there's not enough humour and banter on this forum any more. There was a time when a whole thread would set me chuckling at the off the wall humour and wit exhibited by posters.

Sadly that's been lost somewhere sad

durhamjen Wed 01-Jul-15 22:19:24

Pleased I've only just seen this thread.

It should have been strangled at birth.

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 01-Jul-15 22:18:59

confused

I don't think so. I just don't understand you granjura.

granjura Wed 01-Jul-15 22:09:48

Thank you jingl for your very kind advice - I did, and it was lovely.

I really would not waste such a beautiful day on a totally worthless and unpleasant nasty bitter thread. But I must say you did surpass yourself today. Good night.

GG62 Wed 01-Jul-15 21:51:00

Wasn't telling you off Anya. Don't know my way around the threads yet.Maybe I've just lost the thread!

Anya Wed 01-Jul-15 20:51:00

Not to worry GG62 we're feeling light hearted and light headed with the heat! If you want a serious discussion there are better threads.

I don't want to be mature tonight, I reserve the right to have a joke and a laugh without being told off!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 01-Jul-15 20:41:17

I am sure you will be very welcome here GG.

Ana Wed 01-Jul-15 20:41:09

Have you tried Grannynet, GG62...?smile

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 01-Jul-15 20:37:25
