Am I to assume that a body expressing a contrary opinion to the received wisdom of a thread is ummediately deemed to be on their "high horse"?
In that case there have been quite a few 18hh nags (IMHO)around in the time I have been on GN and there was I thinkng it was fine to express a personal opinion <sigh>

merlot grin grin

Yes please!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 23-Sept-15 13:48:31

grin That'll do nicely.

merlotgran Wed 23-Sept-15 13:48:16

I think we need a carrot emoticon for all the high horses.

LaraGransnet (GNHQ) Wed 23-Sept-15 13:47:01

A funny reply?! From us? The party poopers in the cake corner...?

thatbags Wed 23-Sept-15 13:46:27

I did and my being-disapproved-of rating is now sky high grin

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 23-Sept-15 13:35:46

smile

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 23-Sept-15 13:35:24

Start yer own thread Bags.

We also need a swat or squelch emoji. Sometimes someone comes along and puts a "why is this even being talked about; it's not important" sort of comment on a thread. It'd be simpler if they just put a swat or a squelch hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 23-Sept-15 13:06:51

Or they may be out in pursuit of hackers! shock

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 23-Sept-15 13:04:42

Perhaps they can't think of one. grin

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 23-Sept-15 13:03:59

I'm saying nothing. grin

(I only wanted a funny reply from Luce or Lara sad)

NfkDumpling Wed 23-Sept-15 13:00:10

(And then there's hay fever sufferers.....)

NfkDumpling Wed 23-Sept-15 12:59:30

(And veggies will certainly object to the roastchicken)

NfkDumpling Wed 23-Sept-15 12:58:21

(Looks like our wine and cupcake should be heading to the scrap heap too then)

NfkDumpling Wed 23-Sept-15 12:56:24

I think know what you meant jingl. Perhaps a wheehay emoticon then? Prozac is easier to spell!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 23-Sept-15 11:21:18

Well, that's put a downer on that then! grin

Alea Wed 23-Sept-15 10:56:30

Just don't like the message it puts out, in the same way that anybody with an alcohol prob might not be amused by wine or those struggling with our weight have mixed feelings about the ability of cupcake to solve life's problems.
I know it's only a joke, but sometimes even a joke about Prozac could misfire with anybody who suffers from their own or partner's /child's depression or maybe a substance addiction. hmm

granjura Wed 23-Sept-15 10:51:56

Let's go for something a little more natural, St John's Wort, perhaps?

kittylester Wed 23-Sept-15 10:48:59

Maybe, Alea, having an emoticon will stop some of us needing a real one!

annodomini Wed 23-Sept-15 10:43:17

Good heavens, jingl, is that what Prozac does to you? I fear you may be heading for A&E very soon!

Alea Wed 23-Sept-15 10:14:41

I'm going to be boring serious and say that while I have the utmost respect for modern medicine, I for one would not want to champion any sort of "happy pill" by having the relevant smiley.
I remember only too well how some doctors dished out " mother's little helpers" 50 years ago and there are still people with addictions to Valium/Lbrium. Other anti depressants can work for some but cause appalling side effects in others. So please let's NOT have a "granny's little helper" emoticon.

NfkDumpling Wed 23-Sept-15 10:06:29

Yes! Love it!
