You warned me that the next time I was reported you would bar me. I have just had a post deleted.

Time to click?

confused confused

wot Thu 29-Sept-16 19:23:26

Got a mind to clear off myself, permanently.

wot Thu 29-Sept-16 19:22:24

She is all I've got apart from a brother and family in Belgium and Holland and a nephew who is a wonderful man, recently widowed at age of 44. Plus a "partner" who is vile to me. No wonder I get p.ssed off.??

wot Thu 29-Sept-16 19:18:46

Am I being unreasonable to feel fed up about this????

wot Thu 29-Sept-16 19:16:58

I spent weeks planning and buying ingredients to give them good evening meals and she couldn't get up two small steps.

wot Thu 29-Sept-16 19:14:52

Oh God, I'm so depressed now. My sister came up here after four years and could not get up to my cottage more than once because she's gone from 8 stone to 19 stone. She's had six hip operations but has just given up and sat on her settle eating and now can't walk. Her husband, who is an angel in the way he looks after her, keeps buying her chocolate and cakes all time. WHY?? She's well on the way to a heart attack. The church paid for her beautiful suit of rooms b and b and I gave her a whole weeks pension and all she wanted to do was go round shop us in her wheelchair buying jewellery and £46 pound perfume. She almost paid £140 for a raincoat!!! These are a couple on state pension in a council bungalow.

Shows how much we think of her, NandG

jingl knew more than anyone that she was skating on thin ice but was never afraid to push her luck.

NanaandGrampy Thu 29-Sept-16 18:08:37

From the opening though it could be read as a taunt or resignation ... that's the trouble with just words.. its open to interpretation.

You have to love GN though , 2 entire , lengthy threads devoted to an ex member( for now) smile

Ana Thu 29-Sept-16 18:05:02

No, that's not true NanaandGrampy. This is not the first time jingl has been banned.

NanaandGrampy Thu 29-Sept-16 18:03:03

I totally agree Eloethan . Maybe she thought due to her length of 'service' here she was untouchable no matter what she said?

Ana Thu 29-Sept-16 18:02:09

Eloethan, I suspect it was like waiting for the other shoe to fall - may as well get it over with now!

obieone Thu 29-Sept-16 18:00:36

I suspect jingls is back, but I could be wrong.Clean slate comes to mind.

Ana Thu 29-Sept-16 17:59:55

Promise not to on the political threads, ww! grin

Eloethan Thu 29-Sept-16 17:59:48

How on earth can a poster decide who is likely to be upset by a cutting remark because they are already depressed, as opposed to someone who is feeling emotionally robust and can withstand a bit of sarcasm, ridicule, etc? You can only find out after the event, when - or if - somebody responds by saying "That upset me and I could do without it at the moment because I'm already feeling down".

In the case of jingle, I don't know what she said so can't comment, but why did she feel it necessary to draw attention - in a rather goading fashion - to the fact that she had already had a warning? It was almost like daring Gransnet to ban her.

whitewave Thu 29-Sept-16 17:58:56

Blimey ana that's a first -we agree - please don't make it a habit

obieone Thu 29-Sept-16 17:58:52

I seem to do that when I have more time on my hands Ana grin

merlotgran. She doesnt have to, but "if you let your finger run away with you" then understandably, some people are going to be upset by what she says, if she chooses not to apologise, especially if that happens to the same person several times.

Personally I think jingls is great, and know how to take her. But I wouldnt say that she is perfect, which I think is something she would agree on.

Ana Thu 29-Sept-16 17:57:54

x posts - computer on go-slow again!

whitewave Thu 29-Sept-16 17:57:37

She's got a lot of kissing feet to do! Mwah! mwah!

Ana Thu 29-Sept-16 17:56:49

But it was a fair comment.

Would you join any social group in RL and start telling them how they should do things, and making snap judgements about other members before you've had a chance to get to know them?

whitewave Thu 29-Sept-16 17:56:25

I think * christine* if you give it some thought * kitty* was council ing against going in with two feet before you have an idea as to the differing personalities - it saves yourself looking an idiot.

NanaandGrampy Thu 29-Sept-16 17:56:06

This thread is like Flouncing by 3rd party smile

rosesarered Thu 29-Sept-16 17:55:06

Jingl would be very chuffed with this thread.

Christinefrance Thu 29-Sept-16 17:51:39

kittylester your post reminded me why GN can appear 'cliquey ' to new people, your comment about throwing weight around is uncalled for.

Ana Thu 29-Sept-16 17:51:07

You're starting to become very inquisitive again, obieone!

merlotgran Thu 29-Sept-16 17:47:39

Why should she apologise every time, obieone?
