You warned me that the next time I was reported you would bar me. I have just had a post deleted.

Time to click?

Jings is an 'Institution' and cannot, may not and will not be removed : just saying grin

As I'm in Kamikaze mode Charley I'll tell you.

jingl started a thread about the awful plight of children in Aleppo. Something she's mentioned many times. It was, as usual, hijacked by one of our more vocal politicos and this upset many of us. jingl got exasperated and posted a strongly worded reply to which my reaction was 'hear, hear!'

Someone went squealing to GNHQ (that report button finger must be wearing out) and for some inexplicable reason it was deleted.

This will doubtless be deleted too, as there's no rationale behind deletions any more, but there you are.

I'm leaving GN for the rest of today in protest and DISGUST.

I do not have the faintest clue what is going on. I have had spats with Jigs in the past but that is all that it was- we did not have rifles or swords out at dawn. My feeling is with some posts is that if you cannot stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Mr's P's 70th birthday yesterday, heading away for a luxury camping holiday (4 start hotel) plus a meal on a Pullman train, in the next 10 min or so.

I trust you will still be here Jings when I get back.

frankly getting to the stage where I'm not over concened with getting myself banned either

Likewise.

Anya Fri 09-Sept-16 09:23:44

That post was straight from the heart about something jingl feels very strongly about. I think there needs to be a modicum of common sense here as I'm personally getting sick of some posts being delete while others, snidy but just cleverly staying within 'guidelines' are not.

I'm sticking my head above the parapet here and frankly getting to the stage where I'm not over concened with getting myself banned either.

In the words of the bard 'something is rotten in the state of Denmark'

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 09-Sept-16 09:22:33

Obi I don't think they'll bother with a conference. grin

I think I might have guessed who you are wobblybits. hmm wink

Agree with you Bags.

Enjoyable as this is smile wink shall we knock it on the head? We're worrying obes. (And I think I've survived to bother 'em another day

thatbags Fri 09-Sept-16 09:11:11

HQ, there is no malice in jings. Those of you who've been at HQ for longer terms must know this. As for threats... ?

thatbags Fri 09-Sept-16 09:07:02

Wish HQ would grow some balls. Not for barring people but for insisting on free speech for everyone, even people with real life emotions who get reported by wilting flowers.

rubysong Fri 09-Sept-16 09:04:47

Please keep jbf. GN would be poorer without her.

annsixty Fri 09-Sept-16 09:02:14

I think she is here for ever. I remember when I first joined GN someone asking if she was Geraldine's mother as she got way with so much. She is a mere shadow of her former self.

Pittcity Fri 09-Sept-16 08:50:09

I have my placards ready for the protest!

Riverwalk Fri 09-Sept-16 08:31:45

Unless it goes for a big pow wow in which case I would say near 1pm. hmm

Can you please translate that obione

Wobblybits Fri 09-Sept-16 08:29:10

Jings is still open for PM's, so she must still be here. xxx Jings.

obieone Fri 09-Sept-16 08:21:55

obieone Fri 09-Sept-16 08:20:54

Is jingl still with us?
Deletion time could be before 9.30am if it happens?

Wobblybits Fri 09-Sept-16 08:18:03

BTW, can I have my toys back please ?

Wobblybits Fri 09-Sept-16 08:17:08

grin

annsixty Fri 09-Sept-16 08:13:27

Well that makes you no different to us all really so we will forgive you ( just this one time)?

Wobblybits Fri 09-Sept-16 08:10:46

You are right, but, that's the way I am, impulsive, not likely to change and my age. Just have to get used to apologising and eating humble pie (no wonder I'm as fat as I am)

annsixty Fri 09-Sept-16 08:04:06

Well you know all about flouncing Wobblybits and in the gentlest way I think you flounced too soon last time. I think you should just shrug , like most of us do, and carry on.

Wobblybits Fri 09-Sept-16 07:53:07

Oh, I do hope Our Jings is flouncing, makes me fell much better.

Some deletions do hit a nerve and trigger excessive, but understandable and justified reaction (IMO)

kittylester Fri 09-Sept-16 07:42:28

Oh no, I've missed it again!confused

Pollengran Thu 08-Sept-16 23:18:40

Oh surely not! This is one of the most intelligent posters here, even though she masks it with comedy at times.

I saw the posts and they were a bit shouty, but it was about politics and that can get hectic at times, but not a reason for banning.

I hope you don't go jings, and thanks for sticking up for me when I have blundered in the past.
