Don't know if it makes any difference but I'm on an android tablet.

hmm... we'll look into that, thanks br0adwater.

Kitty I always think there should be a special one you can use to report if something just annoys you, daft, twee, outrageously sentimental etc. grin

Ana Thu 17-Nov-16 18:24:50

You just have to click on 'other' (i.e. not spam) and then say in the box below why you're reporting the post, kitty.

br0adwater, I don't know what you mean, so I'm presuming Gransnet doesn't do that. I get a short acknowledgement by e-mail, that's all.

I always have an acknowledgement when I report scam. I would really like more options when I report as the ones on offer don't necessarily cover what I think.

br0adwater Thu 17-Nov-16 18:16:23

True, that was the wrong term. I should just have said the acknowledgement page that followed my posting. You know, like you get on Amazon when the page says something like Thanks for your order.

Ana Thu 17-Nov-16 18:09:46

Oh, we don't get pop ups on Gransnet - heaven forbid! grin

br0adwater Thu 17-Nov-16 18:08:24

Oh yes, my acknowledgement email said that, I'm talking about the pop up acknowledgement on the site itself. Well, let's wait and see what the tech team say

Ana Thu 17-Nov-16 17:51:34

My acknowledgement was a bit more brief and to the point than yours, br0adwater! grin

Always a GN acknowledgement for me, for whatever reason the report, and I am a member of MN too.

br0adwater Thu 17-Nov-16 17:44:22

Thanks very much for reporting this - we rely on your reports to make sure Mumsnet is a brilliant place to come for support and advice.

In order to best focus our efforts, we don't respond to reports individually - but be assured that we read every single one, and that we'll look into the problem as soon as possible.

If you’re reporting to ask us to remove one of your own posts, we’ll be in touch when this is done, or if we have further questions.

If your concern is related to a site or tech issue, you might want to post inSite Stuff.

If you have a specific question that isn’t answered inour FAQs, please [email protected].

Best wishes MNHQ

That's the acknowledgement I got again just now when I reported the post from Ana ( thanks for the idea). Must be just me then!!

ninathenana Thu 17-Nov-16 17:27:15

The few posts I've reported over the years which have been for advertising rather than comments by members . I've never had an acknowledgment from MN.

Ana Thu 17-Nov-16 17:21:11

Mind you, I'm not a member of Mumsnet!

Ana Thu 17-Nov-16 17:19:40

Well, I just reported your post (don't worry, I said I was just 'testing') and I received an acknowledgement from Gransnet.

br0adwater Thu 17-Nov-16 17:12:42

If you report a post, you get an acknowledgement from Mumsnet. Odd!
