whats happened to gransnet today....

I had the same as Menowpaws earlier but all back to normal now.

Ok I'm back in the room, Active page normal now for some reason

I haven't noticed any differences on my iPad ?

Servlet threw an exception....what does that mean? It comes up every time I go to the Active page with lines and lines of words that repeat mumsnet at the beginning, I can get onto I'm On but not Active...help please

I had a new Android tablet given to me at Christmas time and it presents GN very differrently. It is very small font and is taking me ages to find anything but if I go back to my Asus tablet it has not changed. I am a bit of a technophobe so can't add anything else.

Thanks Oldgoat, I had found that you could do that, but being a stick in the mud, I liked the old way , and it does seem such a roundabout way of doing things.

Auntyflo and grannyS I had the same problem as you, unable to access the forums, but was told if you click on the title of any thread, not the Share option, it takes you to that thread and then you can get back to the forums in the usual way. On my phone everything looks tiny now so I am having to use my laptop to send messages on GN. Wish nothing had changed, too!

Is the old system coming back?? Or are we stuck with this clunky one??

All I get on my phone which is how I usually access Gransnet is an email saying "Top threads", and no way of getting to main site. It's asking me to "share", don't want to. Bring back old system.

I noticed that Auntieflo and put it down to 'modernising'

Why is there still no direct link to Forums? Can it be fixed, or are we stuck with this?

Never had GN email issue before.

I have no links to the forums either , nor yesterday. Have to go back to old emails from GN to view posts. I am using an android phone. Looks like I might be on the Facebook site. Don't think it's anything I have done. Very frustrating. Please could you fix this problem for me.

And again today....no links to forums etc....had to go back to Mondays to get on this.....have had NO problem since I joined gransnet....and now its a nightmare!!! Tiny print?cant look at new threads.good morning posts...nothing....so frustrating.....?

Auntieflo exact same problems here..on my phone...ALWAYS only use my phone...

Had a job to get onto the website - I only use a pc and miss my "view online" link!

I never knew that before, I can see the screen without peering at it shortsightedly.

No problem on my tablet.

The only difference I have noticed today is that the font was larger than usual on the daily newsletter.

All is fine on laptop, ipad and phone..

Maybe you have touched the zoom button, I do that all the time on my laptop if you are using a laptop press ctrl and the + or - sign it will enlarge or small the text.

Thought it was me, and I am on my Ipad. There isn't a link to " view on line" now. Before I could tap on that, get to Forums, then Last Day, Last Hour etc. Whatever have you done techy people? Please go back to the old system before I explode. I have had a week of ' out of area' phone calls, starting at 8 am and then every hour. Don't make my day any worse, please, pretty please, bring my blood pressure down. Whatever it takes, . Take your pick.
