Save button

Apologies in advance
As not up on the technical side of computers and internet sites.

Is it at all possible to have a save button?
My Pad signaled it was about to shut down (battery low) as I was typing a post.
The post was lost.
If there had been a save button the post that I was half way through would not have disappeared into the great internet ether.

This is just a question as I know that a like button is possible
pigs might fly but unlikely
