They wouldn't unearth any state secrets by spying on me either.

Like Elegran, we use K as well - though I read a newspaper article this week suggesting that its country of origin was using it to spy on us! K has been excellent for us and I think any ‘spies’ would be bored rigid with what our search history shows to them!

You may have difficulty uninstalling AVG. I did (still haven't got rid of it) and when I looked on the net, there are many others in the same boat. I am postponing trying again until I can make sense of the online instructions.

Thanks for that. i was about to subscribe to AVG, as I had the free edition.

AVG has been bought over by another firm, who have changed it so much that I don't like it any more. After using it for years, I replaced my AVG Free yesterday with a bought antivirus. One of the features is a banner blocker. In less than 24 hours it has blocked 142.

The name starts with a K, it has snow on its boots and it is currently half-price - £19.99 for a year. Other products probably do the same thing. You gets what you pays for!
