But Blen there’s been an increase in activity just recently- let’s hope this thread might make people think - but I have wondered about using one of the following next time it happens

?‍??????

Or any combination

Thank you kitty ,Frank was the name I was trying to remember but it wasn't him who was rude, it was in reply to a thread he had started.

It has always happened - it isn't something that has just started.

I’m too ignorant to have the confidence to correct someone else’s grammar. Sometimes though gaffs can make for humorous reading. But I still wouldn’t correct it. It’s bad manners.

Crumbs, ann, how horrid for you - especially early on! Was it Frank? Glad it didn't scare you off!

I remember greatnan telling someone off for doing it but that's the only example I remember from back then. I've seen it a few times lately.

Actually kitty it happened to me when I first joined GN.
I had posted on a thread started by our old friend, whose name now escapes me, but he was full of "wisdom" about financial matters and we all knew about his London pension, so I am sure you will remember.
I missed a comma out , which did make nonsense of my point ,but I was very rudely taken to task by a member who asked about my educational level.
I was totally shocked and vowed to leave GN but I am so pleased I didn't.
I never saw another post by that member.

I find it rude and arrogant. It has only started happening lately!

Blencathra Tue 05-Jun-18 05:48:43

It is very rude. I hate it when someone pours their heart out and instead of an answer to their problem someone criticises the way it is written or says they can't read it if not in paragraphs!

I have absolutely no idea where my last post came from but thank you Ilove for not correcting it ?

Yes

Jjkkk

Without going into this further, can we just stop doing this please. I’ve done it and had it done to me and I think it’s just petty and childish and we should just stop it - does anyone agree with me?
