PMs and emails are not the same thing. We get an email to say we have a PM from another member.
What s the problem with that?

I belong to a forum where the username of the person who started a thread is shown alongside the heading - I wonder whether this might be used on GN

You seem to believe you're entitled to a lot, especially considering GN is free.

Of course it's a business. They make money through the adverts. And we use it because it adds interest and enjoyment to life. We pay nothing.

so , its like going into a shop and buying something only a bit of it is missing.
