Gillybob it does work I m on an iPad
This is how someone on here taught me
done
1 Do your dash
2 write your word
3 do a dash at the end of the word
4 go back to the beginning do another dash ( they should have a small space between them but not as big as a space)
5 then go back to the end of the word ( it’s important you do NOT go back to the very end but the end of the WORD and do the second dash again it will have a little space but not a full sized space
try again

write your word

Oh, oh it worked!!!!!!! On my iPad with a separate keyboard in the case. I’ll try it again without the pad.

testing A bit more fiddly to get the curser in the right place, but it gives that all important gap.

Never tried it on my Android phone before

Its always been fine on the PC/Desktop.

Its just the iPhone and the ipad where it is a problem. Having to go backwards and forwards putting in one dash at a time (As per *Bluebelle's instructions up thread) is a pain in the neck but the only way to get it to work.

It is a problem only with the iPad and iPhone as far as I can tell. In which case, I can't really imagine that GNHQ will be able to do anything about it - it's Apple's problem, isn't it? The way they've configured the double dash to operate on their devices? It's fine on Apple laptops and computers it seems.

(Btw it was me who suggested the workaround in the earlier thread )
