That was not an innocuous little thread it was a thread with a purpose to incite, no one can be that innocent as to start a thread with that title gemini

Oh I see . I was thinking the i pad or whatever pinged whenever SW got a post and prompting her to reply. I’ve got a lot to learn about how Gn works. ?

Haven’t we all know people in real life who, when you wished them Good Morning, jumped back at you with a snarl ‘is it!’ You know the sort, the ones who would start a row in an empty room and argue with you if you said the Pope was catholic. So some are on Gransnet......

Gemini1789 - because someone says something and the others get triggered! There is no telling where a thread will lead......

Gemini1789 Thu 16-Jan-20 15:30:42

And to Artdecogran
I’ve seen the most innocuous little thread turn into an all out war on here with name calling etc. I’ve wondered how on earth that happened.

Gemini1789 Thu 16-Jan-20 15:26:39

Thanks Lucy.
Now I get the first bit about hiding something from yourself to stop getting wound up.
Am still wondering about ‘being triggered ‘ ?

Chestnut Thu 16-Jan-20 15:24:05

Artdecogran: Perhaps we should all talk about the weather instead. That topic should not trigger irrational anger.
A very dangerous subject.....it will start arguments about climate change!

lucywinter Thu 16-Jan-20 15:18:44

Won't be the same without you Suzie.

suziewoozie Thu 16-Jan-20 15:17:32

Brilliant thanks merlot .

merlotgran Thu 16-Jan-20 15:15:09

It's underneath 'inbox' - pointing downwards.

suziewoozie Thu 16-Jan-20 15:07:47

suziewoozie Thu 16-Jan-20 15:05:46

Thank you lucy ?

lucywinter Thu 16-Jan-20 15:00:03

lucywinter Thu 16-Jan-20 14:59:44

wink !!!!

lucywinter Thu 16-Jan-20 14:59:31

You can hide the discussion from yourself. To stop yourself thinking "Oh no not more of this".

Being triggered turns *Suziewoozie into a read angry face. Who says fuck quite a lot.

Hetty58 Thu 16-Jan-20 14:57:23

Ditto, puzzled?

Gemini1789 Thu 16-Jan-20 14:55:48

Help please.
What is the purpose of the hide button ? Who you hide the discussion from ?
And Suziewoozie what does being ‘triggered ‘mean ?

lucywinter Thu 16-Jan-20 14:49:58

Wow! You can 'flip' as well. Often want to do that on mobile.

Who knew?

merlotgran Thu 16-Jan-20 14:46:54

You need to be on the mobile site. If you are on desktop, scroll to the bottom of the page, click on mobile site.

Then you click on the arrow at the top right of the page and click 'hide discussion' in the options that appear.

suziewoozie Thu 16-Jan-20 14:35:52

Is there one or please can we have one? I’m being constantly triggered and it’s not fair <stamps foot>
