to post any story at all about Meghan and Harry no matter how lacking in evidence from whatever gutter source? Can they just be libelled by posts on GN because it’s open season on them and they therefore have no rights? Opinion is one thing but on here it’s now often inseparable from lies.

Egalantine Libel is civil. Criminal Libel was abolished in 2010 and before then there were virtually no cases of criminal libel for many years.

I hate the disrespect of our monarch and the hard working royals plus of course the use of the children

lucywinter Thu 23-Jan-20 18:45:58

lucywinter Thu 23-Jan-20 18:45:16

Ooh 'eco. Is that libellous against the Express?

lucywinter Thu 23-Jan-20 18:44:34

The Express is diabolical with their running down of the RF.

phoenix Thu 23-Jan-20 18:42:24

Yakity yak yakity yak yakity yak.

Such an erudite, articulate and incisive comment! The gift that just keeps on giving! gringringrin

lucywinter Thu 23-Jan-20 18:41:16

Oh everyone's talking about it. What's wrong with that in these gloomy January days?

lucywinter Thu 23-Jan-20 18:39:58

will debut in cartoon form is the important bit from the Express link. cartoon form.

Callistemon Thu 23-Jan-20 18:37:21

phoenix can say whatever she wants to - unless it's libellous.

It's up to GNHQ to police the threads.

I must admit I was surprised at the speed and volume of the M&H threads.
I posted information on other threads which I thought were far more important, eg the Australian fires, but those threads dropped off the active lists.

Yesterday's paper selling yesterday's news sad

lucywinter Thu 23-Jan-20 18:36:50

Nothing wrong with spending lots of time on Gransnet.

lemongrove Thu 23-Jan-20 18:35:04

phoenix Thu 23-Jan-20 18:31:43

suziewoozie such a grown up name!

Actually, I am grown up and would usually walk on by with threads like this, but the energy and passion with which you posted sort of drew me in. Unfortunately.

Well, I will contribute, seeing as you asked so nicely.

As HQ have pointed out, if a member thinks a post is in breach of forum guidelines, we are free to report it, even if it's one of yours, suzie (we don't need permission)

And as other members have stated, we are all free to ignore threads that we have no interest in, advice which if I remember correctly, you have been given previously and chosen to ignore.

Chestnut Thu 23-Jan-20 18:29:47

And then she says H&M are 'real people who shouldn't be treated like a punch bag'. It seems that GN posters are not real people so she can therefore treat them like a punch bag and be as rude or nasty to them as she likes. .

Buffybee Thu 23-Jan-20 18:26:42

Nobody likes a smart arse!
Nobody likes being told off by some wearisome woman!

Eglantine21 Thu 23-Jan-20 18:26:10

Icanhandthemback you’re absolutely right. My apologies.

lemongrove Thu 23-Jan-20 18:23:14

We can all report libellous posts without setting up a whole thread to air a grievance btw.

lemongrove Thu 23-Jan-20 18:17:41

HQ....is it really acceptable that suziewoozie can say anything she fancies about other posters? ?

suziewoozie Thu 23-Jan-20 18:12:32

Grow up phoenix pity you’ve nothing to contribute

phoenix Thu 23-Jan-20 18:07:59

Oh shucks, suzie has NOT given permission.

That's us told then.

lucywinter Thu 23-Jan-20 18:01:01

Eh?
