Are we trapped for ever and ever? I know it is simple not to log in and not to post- but I would prefer to have my account deleted- so I am not tempted to look in and comment. Surely it is against Human Rights to not be allowed to request to be deleted.

Eglantine
You haven't been paying attention, have you? ?

Callistemon Tue 10-Mar-20 17:51:07

Eglantine
Yes

GracesGranMK3 Tue 10-Mar-20 17:09:46

You were explaining, in detail the different types of 'leaver' POGS and giving your opinion about them. Almost like a scientific experiment. I just said it as I found it.

Eglantine21 Tue 10-Mar-20 16:53:07

Oh she’s just doing it to wind you up.

Surely it isn’t possible for anyone to have a vision of themselves that is so far from the truth.

Is it?

GG. MK3

You stated this about yourself :-

' I try not to be reduced to the squalor of laughing at others expense.'

You are the gift that keeps on giving.

This is now turning into a spat so you keep digging, you are doing so on more than one thread to more than one poster so at least I am in good company.

I will stick with my ' generalisation' not attacking individual posters on this thread but I reserve the right to reply to your personal posts which is a different thing.

the only sleazy underworld on GN was in The Argy Bargy Bar ? Soop was a regular! As was Marydoll two of the nicest people on GN btw.Perhaps we need more of it, it attracts the better sort of person.
The Alphabet Bar has taken over, and happy hour is on at the moment over there should anyone fancy a wine?

GracesGranMK3 Tue 10-Mar-20 16:20:27

That's okay. You seem to believe you have all the answers. I know I haven't yet found all the questions. It must feel good.

' I don't know why people do that POGS but as a superior being, you obviously feel you know more about them than they know about themselves'.

Thank you.

I don't know why people do that POGS but as a superior being, you obviously feel you know more about them than they know about themselves.

I have left generally when other things overtook my time and come back, perhaps more full of hope than expectation, when real-life calmed down. I have found a few 'kindred spirits' and like to talk with them and learn from them. A bit prosaic perhaps for the divas on here and also they tend to leave over time as, maybe, all sensible people should.

POGS Tue 10-Mar-20 16:08:58

Oh hell now I am Frank. blush

I knew it would be good to get in first. ?.

Elegran Tue 10-Mar-20 16:07:23

The "real world" includes such people as journalists on newsrags, political activists for extreme parties, proselitising members of fundamentalist sects, racist and sexist bigots, and the president of a supposedly civilised nation.

If you have never met, heard, seen or read any of these, then you must be sealed in a soundproof windowless room with no access to media.

If you have come across them, and believed them - well, I'd say you are too intelligent to be taken in, so that isn't relevant.

If you have come across them, and recognised their illogical hatreds, then why single out a minority of Gransnet posters to prove that is a unique sink of viciousness which you must ostentatiously reject before it sullies your own views?

Callistemon Tue 10-Mar-20 16:06:54

That is a good summing up,POGS

Kalu Tue 10-Mar-20 16:06:24

?I remember youhoo ? Frank?

glammanana Tue 10-Mar-20 16:02:22

Anniebach wow "Frank" would have had a field day on this topic don't you think.

MerylStreep Tue 10-Mar-20 16:01:05

POGS
As always, succinct, to the point without being rude or insulting to other posters ???

I wonder if this would have happened if the political threads had been more active. As we know they have died a bit of a death.

lemongrove Tue 10-Mar-20 15:57:06

Haha ? A handbag ?!

lemongrove Tue 10-Mar-20 15:55:27

One should always be Frank.

Callistemon Tue 10-Mar-20 15:54:56

No! Has he got a brother called Ernest?

lemongrove Tue 10-Mar-20 15:54:17

You must remember Frank! ?

Chewbacca Tue 10-Mar-20 15:54:03

Good and fair post POGS.

GracesGranMK3 Tue 10-Mar-20 15:51:59

I thought a ‘flounce’ Lucca was anytime someone announced they were leaving instead of simply going ?- usually with the intent of being begged to stay!

In which case , by that definition I think it qualifies as a flounce

I think that is a gross exaggeration of someone asking for help and direction and then following it. This is just another case of a poster wanting to criticise and changing the facts in order to do it.

Callistemon Tue 10-Mar-20 15:49:53

Who is Frank?

Anniebach Tue 10-Mar-20 15:44:48

Well said POGS, oh the temptation to say ‘Frank’ ,

lemongrove Tue 10-Mar-20 15:42:38

Any posters moaning about the H &M thread and riding their high horses to exhaustion should now put them back in the stable for a well earned rest.

POGS Tue 10-Mar-20 15:40:44

I am not Frank before the quips comes in ?
