Chewbacca I doubt if we had a TV in those days. Ours arrived I think in the late 50's and I certainly was never allowed to switch it on.

I was convent educated and we were never allowed to listen to a radio and only allowed to read newspapers in the last year.

So far so good
Then I add a dash at the front & it looks like this:

(see the tiny space between the two front dates?

then I add a dash at the end & they bluddy join together!
I end up with two short dashes and a long one, like so:

They join up at the end all by themselves!
Who told them they could do this at the end and not the beginning?

Dots and dashes.
My head is mashed - it’s like learning Morse Code.

1. -HELP Front dash with NO space between dash and the word
2 then small dash after the word again no space
so you get -HELP-
So far so good
3 go back to the very beginning and do a new dash at the very front no spaces So you get.....

4 go to the very end and add your little dash with no space

Kalu I can see by your words you are not doing it in the right order your first attempt is —help— wrong
Second attempt - - help- - wrong
Try and follow the steps I gave above
um you are doing the same as kalu

This is reminding me of trying to get a class of year 9 to use sticky backed plastic to back their books (NOT my idea by the way).

Don't you all have the buttons at the bottom? If you press on the I next to the smiley face button and then press on the typing style you want to use, it does it for you
