When a thread is deleted is there a note on the list of active threads or just it just disappear?

Usually GNHQ say they're deleting a thread about 5 minutes before but unless you go on at that time, you wouldn't know.

There's also usually a warning that a thread may be deleted but that doesn't always happen if things calm down and the thread goes back to the matter that's supposed to be being discussed.

If you remember the title of the thread you can look for it in Search, then it will show you the reason for the deletion.

I think if you have been on it, it will list as deleted in your I'm On list.

There is a way of finding out that a thread has been deleted but you would have had to have saved it prior to the deletion.

I save the threads I like to read and/or comment on, through Watch this thread. Then, when I look at my WATCHING list, deleted threads are still shown. That's the only evidence there is. I think. I'm relatively new so still finding out what's where.

Thanks everyone. I sometimes do the watching bit, but a thread I wanted to look at had disappeared without my putting it on the watch list. I did search as I remembered the title and it came up on a safari list, saying it had been deletedThis was a bit longwinded. Couldn’t GNHQ just put it on the ‘ last day’ list as deleted.Im sure I’m not the only one who thinks “Where did that thread go?”

Thanks for the advice about”I’m on” .I didn’t realise what that was about (Duh)

I have only just noticed the watching tab, that's handy.
