The site is driving me mad!

I’m getting ads which I haven’t signed up for and they’ve only just started! I’m not going to use GN any more if this continues.

I'm still getting the blooming things. The ones amongst the thread posts are generally headed up 'Gransnet videos' and the smaller one at bottom right often features the word 'mumsnet'. It's beginning to look like a permanancy. Why? Does GN want to drive us all away? I think we should be told.

Those of you with iPads, who are not getting any moving adverts, are very lucky.
My iPad is being inundated with them on every thread that I go into.
Is anything being done about it, or is it a money maker for Gransnet?

This is happening again. Adverts all over the place. I had to log in again in order to be able to post anything as well. GN Please do something about these bl***y adverts or I'm off!

I still have PM Boris Johnson popping up to haunt me. Difficult to understand the point of these old clips as they’re not even adverts. Here he was a few minutes ago.

Gransnet simply do not care. I’m sure sure this issue could/should be solved.

Nothing has changed. It is now nearly two months since GN commented on this thread. I just got an ad asking some children "What advice they would give the England eleven for the 2018 World Cup"!!!!!!!

I get that one all the time as well I think they know who I am and use spell check all the time.

Why are they advertising to us anyway? Most of us are older and don’t ‘collect’ things or random buy unnecessary things. They should advertise to all those rich working mummies on mumsnet. Tell you what, sales of iPads will go up because they are more or less advert free!

That’s why they moved the Benefits forum. We need to be seen as prosperous to attract advertisers.
And I don’t know about Australia, but in many cases younger people are worse off financially here.
But how any of that justifies the odd nonsense on here is baffling

I'm trying to be patient and understand that GN needs the income from ads, but it's when they cover the space I'm trying to type in that I feel like shouting!!!

Judging by the comments on this thread the trial results seem obvious - a resounding FAIL.

The ads have actually cured me of checking GN on my phone as I cannot read the threads properly.

Now it’s iPad only (I have forgotten my login details so cannot use laptop)

Mine appear in the little box where you insert text, and take up half of it, so I cant see what i'm writing.
