Surely not. People on GN should have the right to anonimity, unless they choose to divulge any private information, be it about profession, locality, ethnicity, or whatever.

Secondly, should any information given in a PM be fair game to share to other members? Surely not.

I've only done a wee out in the wild, never a poo.

(Our front lawn is quite wild but overlooked by neighbours grin)

Not disappeared- sometimes it is best to keep well away.

Stinks, for sure lol ;)

The OP seems to have disappeared. If she returns, she’ll be quite confused at the turn the thread’s taken grin

I'm going to put a mental comma where it is funniest

Hahaha, I thought that said Callistemon could have had a poo while you were watching.

Had visions of a woman squatting on the grass.

Smileless2012 Wed 14-Dec-22 14:20:31

Could have been worse Callistemon could have had a poo while you were watching.

Callistemon21 Wed 14-Dec-22 14:00:32

Our local fox used to trot across the lawn at night and pause, look at me through the window then carry on.

Presumably to do a poo just out of my sight 🦊

They’re horrid to foxes here and either poison them or shoot them. Mostly poison and they poison rabbits, too.

The problem in Australia is that foxes, camels and rabbits weren't native species. Along with other types of animals introduced relatively recently, these have caused problems with indigenous species and with the eco system in general, rather like the grey squirrel and edible dormouse in the UK.

Smileless2012 Wed 14-Dec-22 12:23:35

That sounds wonderful Kalu you're very lucky and I must admit I'm a little enviousenvy.

Our toy poodle loves rolling in fox poo and it made a friend laugh when I explained it's the 'wolf' instinct; masking their own scent from potential prey.

I think it was trying to imagine our perfectly groomed, white little poodle being a descendent that she found so amusinghmm.

Ah Kalu that’s lovely.
We used to have foxes who were good friends with our cat.
When I put out food for the foxes in the field at the bottom of garden, the cat would guard the food for them, and stop the magpies from eating it.

We live in the country and I can assure people that country fox poo is just as unpleasant as urban fox poo when your dog has rolled in it...

My dogs loved rolling in that and…cow pats! This also stinks to high heaven.

Kalu Wed 14-Dec-22 11:27:51

We have a permanent fox who has made his home in our garden. He acts more like a dog than a fox, following me around the garden then lies down until I have finished various garden tasks. He has somehow lost most of his tail and goes by the moniker, Stumpy. He is gorgeous.

Callistemon21 Wed 14-Dec-22 11:01:48

There was a fox around here which used to think our front garden was the best place for a loo. He'd visit nightly.

So - some poos are horrible, other poos we put on the vegetable garden.
🤔

Yes, it’s absolutely horrendous.
These were urban foxes, and I reckon their diet isn’t conducive to a healthy digestive system.

I don’t get why dogs do that.
Mine has a preference for seagull poo

We have two families of foxes living in our garden, fortunately they poo elsewhere 🦊💩

Never sh*t in your own backyard, as the saying goes!

My neighbours put down lion pooh to deter cats poohing by our front doors

You have to track a lion first, though.

It might be safer to just scoop up the cat poo.

Lathyrus Wed 14-Dec-22 10:48:40

It certainly kept human visitors away😱

GagaJo Wed 14-Dec-22 10:41:19

Did the lion poo work?

Did you report it?

No. After retreating for a bit, I took a look at 6’ 4”” OH as he came back from the Sports Centre, and thought “Bring it on”😬

There has to be a proverb describing that………..

Does fox poo really stink? I know dogs love it.
