Has anyone on GN got the right to give private information about you?

This feels like a nasty pile-on. Offputting, particularly alongside a number of other posts in the past week (and doubtless much longer).

Presumably, however, the site owners feel that their advertisers are happy with the number of users, and don’t check the content or tone of the forums.

Just a a very average human with my own thoughts and feelings about stuff and I never do as I'm told and place importance on individuals not what the masses tell me to think

And it's always the same people that do it. You should be ashamed.

I'm assuming I know the person you're all referring to. And to be honest, I think you're all wrong.

And to make assumptions, and give information about an old GN member as if it is definitely a new GN member is wrong.

And the attitudes! All because you disliked the prior GN member. It's back to bullying again and frankly, you're all too old to be behaving that way. It's one of the reasons people leave this site.

I recognised her too. I didn't think it was a secret.

I'm another who recognised the OP, her style is so recognisable. I thought most posters did too. However, I really have no interest in why she felt the need to do it.
I know I would be instantly recognisable, so no point in bothering.

The OP has inferred that a poster has divulged private information which has led others to speculate that one amongst us is a snitch and yet nobody can work out what this highly sensitive 😱 information is.

I am utterly baffled as to what this thread is about. Mind you, that goes for about 90% of my life nowadays!

What you thought was a secret Fleurpepper, actually wasn’t a secret. Many of us recognised you immediately, style of writing, turn of phrase plus change of username over the years, it wasn’t difficult to recognise you.
Unless you have absolute proof one individual poster has shared your secret, you are out of order placing all blame on whichever poster you are alluding to.

Nobody has broken the confidence of another poster. A lot of us on here know the op from many years back. She has told us where she lives, why she lives there, why she came to live in the uk, her husband’s profession, her career, her children, her relatives in America, her students who come to stay.
She has often told us about personal finance problems ( who does that 😳) Brexit related.
There’s more on here but you get my drift.

Yes Urms I think we would 'out' you very quickly. Just keep on doing what you are doing as you come across as fun and friendly.
