Aldi advert with spinning wheel

Had this dam advert pop up 4 times over the last 2 days and lost 4 posts because of it. 😡😡😡😡

Does anyone know how to block it? I have emailed GNHQ and Aldi about it.

Oh, for Pete’s sake! I only started getting the wheel of doom last week on my iPhone, have just cleared my cache as advised and am now having to input any passwords I haven’t saved.

And it hasn’t gone! angry

I have just had the Aldi advert for the first time, if you inadvertently click on that instead of GN dots you get the message that the site isn’t secure, which is frankly worrisome.

I’m confined to my phone at present and that’s where it pops up. Stopped three posts in a few minutes. GN must be able to stop this.

As a solution to losing posts I’m writing, I’m currently writing them in Notes on my iPhone then copy/pasting them in. It got too frustrating!
Hope GN can sort it soon.

Gransnet have gone quiet.
I hope they are working on it because more of us will leave if we find it too frustrating.

I contacted my son about this. He is an IT specialist and says it’s linked to Gransnet. He says to just stop using Gransnet. He thinks they have sold some advertising to someone who has maybe a 3rd party contract.

Does Mumsnet have it?
I’m on my iPad now but prefer to use Gransnet on my phone where I can’t get rid of it. I’ve lost lots of posts half way through now. So far no loss today on my iPad but I won’t be using Gransnet so often now.

Please @gransnet get this sorted.

iPhones are affected! It’s driving me bonkers. And I don’t think it’s malware, as it’s only on Gransnet.
