No - too many as it is and daily is just too much. Couldn’t stand it.

I found those emails annoying - so opted out of them right from the start.

Hello all. If you are expecting the Daily email and it doesn't arrive, firstly please check that you're subscribed. You can do so in the newsletters section on My Gransnet. Second, please check your junk and spam folders.

If all looks in order, please email us: [email protected] and we can do some further checks. Thanks.

Pittcity There are competitions on Mumsnet every so often, they don’t appear to always show up over here.
I probably spend more time on Mumsnet than Gransnet overall, I really enjoy the variety you get. One of my favourite ever threads was about sheep, and how they’re not the brightest of animals 😂
Another favourite is a long-time on-going one about a huge garden pond and the wildlife, birds especially and ducks in particular, that inhabit it.
And whilst I’m no Royalist I love the style thread about European Royalty and what they wear. No, of course, I’m not shallow!

My email arrived at 17.11.
Like Bridie22, I come into Gransnet via the email, and delete the one from the previous day when I get the current one. I’m always logged in but don’t want any more shortcuts, etc. on my iPad screen. If it hasn’t arrived when I start looking at all my daily stuff, I just use the one from the previous day. Having said that, days can pass without me looking at Gransnet.

I never read any after the first two. They just get deleted. GN is bookmarked. Are people waiting for them to go on GN?

Bridie22 Mon 11-Sept-23 19:42:37

We seem to use lots of different access modes .

Marydoll Mon 11-Sept-23 19:42:27

I don't bother because I pop in early each morning. I can't see the point of a daily newsletter.

Pittcity Mon 11-Sept-23 19:41:53

I gave up looking at the emails when the competitions stopped. I have a shortcut to the forums and simply click on that whenever I please.

Aldom Mon 11-Sept-23 19:12:59

I've never had an email. I just click on Gransnet in Chrome whenever I choose.

kittylester Mon 11-Sept-23 19:12:21

I delete my email without reading it. I log on first thing.

SachaMac Mon 11-Sept-23 19:06:01

sodapop Mon 11-Sept-23 18:19:13

I feel unwanted, never had a GN email 😪

Bridie22 Mon 11-Sept-23 17:50:37

Well yes, it contains my daily gransnet threads.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 11-Sept-23 17:41:40

Does anyone actually read them?

grandtanteJE65 Mon 11-Sept-23 17:33:09

Mine has just come no,w at 18.30 CET. This is the latest it has ever been.

Admittedly, they always first turn up around midday, which surprises me, as those of you who live in the UK are often responding as if you are checking Gransnet at breakfast.

Are these e-mails sent out in staged batches? To avoid overloading a server, perhaps?

Bridie22 Mon 11-Sept-23 16:22:54

I didn't get one !

grannydarkhair Mon 11-Sept-23 16:21:39

Did everyone receive their daily email as usual? I’ve just noticed I didn’t get one today.
