Why do I keep having to re register?

Are you logging out? When I did so, I kept having to re register and slightly change my username in order to post.

Do you mean you have log in again? On my phone, it sometimes says I'm logged out (even though I haven't) but if I "close all" using 3 bars on bottom left of screen, and go back to Gransnet, I'm still logged in! I don't need to enter my password etc again.
It doesn't happen on tablet or laptop - I stay permanently logged in.

You have to re-register if you clear your browser details, which I do, as a matter of course, after finishing Internet banking or other personal matters online.

I would rather re-register than risk a hacker getting hold of private information about me or my bank accounts!

However, it would have nice if Gransnet's moderators warned one of this fact.

What drives me mad, is that on Gransnet when you enter your e-mail and then want to enter your password, you cannot just use Enter. If you try, you are told that your details are wrong.

No other site I have yet found on the Internet has this particular quirk, so I am often caught out, as my right hand little finger automatically uses enter to change lines.

I don’t have to re register on here but often have to do so on ITV, Iplayer, Ch5 etc. Drives me nut.

As grandtanteJE65 says, if you clear browser details, also clear your history, do a software upgrade especially one that requires a restart you will have to re-enter your details.
