Hi everyone,

Thanks for letting us know about this big red 'non-advert'. It sounds pretty frustrating - how long has it been happening for?

We'd be really grateful if someone could take a screenshot the next time it pops up, so we can see what you're seeing. We could also do with knowing which threads it's cropping up on - the thread title or the URL if possible.

I have the inbuilt adblocket enabled , I might have to think about a third party one but don’t want to cause more annoyances for myself!

I’ve got this too, I think the iPad software must be blocking the advert but for some reason not the background of it. It’s very annoying as to get rid of it you have to keep changing to other screens, as you said.

I’m being driven mad by a large red square that pops up intermittently when I open a thread or turn the page on one. It says it’s an advertisement but there’s nothing there, just a blank red square. At its base it says to scroll down to get the posts. If you scroll down you can get the posts it’s not obscuring but not the ones above that it is (a lot of them). It doesn’t disappear. You have to go to another thread/page and then come back to the problem page which is then ok.
It’s been happening for a while….on my iPad but not on my Mac.
Is this something that can get sorted by Gransnet who presumably book the ads or is just my end?
