GNHQ, I’m pretty sure my email address has been hacked from GN.

My email address was hacked at the weekend, which has caused havoc. This is the only place online that I have posted info about my knee op, the scammers email to my contacts stated information about the op which is why I deduce that it had to come from here. Just to make GNHQ aware and other users on this platform.

greenmossgiel It might be a good idea to email GNHQ in case they don’t see this thread for a while. You could report your own post, which might be quicker!

Squiffy, I’ll report my own post, then. I was having difficulty actually contacting GNHQ (I must’ve been doing something wrong!) 🙄

Hi OP

It sounds like your email address was hacked - and as a result of this, your Gransnet account was accessed. Is that the case?

It sounds like a breach on your email address rather than with us directly, but we'd ask that you change your passwords across everything (especially your email account and Gransnet), and contact your email provider for more information as to what happened.

In the meantime, are there any posts you'd like us to remove, or would you like us to send you a password reset?

That seems to have been the case.
All is apparently ok now, but it’s been quite a worry!
We really do seem to be at the mercy of these scammers.
