Has anyone else lost this notification system over the last couple of days?

Every move you make……😲

Shinamae Sat 21-Dec-24 20:45:44

Yes, I’ve lost mine. 🤔

I have never had this facility and I've been on here for ten years!

With me, you click on the customise option - See screenshot 1.
This opens up the notify me options - see screenshot 2.

Marydoll

I have never had this facility and I've been on here for ten years!

I’ve never had it either!

Now restored!
Thank you, Mods!

Thank you Ixion for taking the time to post a screenshot of the instructions.
This morning I received notification someone had posted on a thread, I was following! 🤣

ixion Fri 27-Dec-24 19:49:39

Oh good, Marydoll.
I like it because it gives me the opportunity to focus in directly on threads I am interested in when I am time poor and removes the temptation to dawdle over the whole site!

Marydoll Fri 27-Dec-24 19:52:57

ixion, the downside is, that today I have had umpteen alerts, I may go back to ignorance is bliss mode. 🤣

ixion Fri 27-Dec-24 20:14:42

🤭

I have recently unsubscribed from the notification, I found it a nuisance.

Shinamae Sat 28-Dec-24 00:43:37

Today I noticed those notifications have been going in junk, whereas before they used to just go into my inbox 😆🤷‍♀️

Never had it, never want it. Too much stuff like that.

I've got it for Mumsnet but never had it for Gransnet. I've said it before (and I'll say it again!), wouldn't it be great to be notified when someone quotes your post. It makes the site more interesting and encourages discussion and engagement with fellow Gransnetters. It basically instigates conversation which is surely what most posters would enjoy, rather than a thread of mainly free standing comments.
