Tech fix ?

Hello! Tech has released a new fix today. If you receive a PM from now you should get a notification symbol (a little bell icon) above the Inbox tab in the top right of the screen.
We're working on a few other fixes too (in particular the desktop/mobile view issue) so we'll let you know once they're done.

Lara Some of us have got the bell, but no new email! Does the bell change colour or flash to alert us?!

Thanks for the feedback all. We'll take a look in the morning to see why some of you aren't getting it (and why some of you without new messages are too). @Lucca, which posts have disappeared? Some on this thread?

I have a new bell, but I had read the message in there a couple of days ago, and even reading it again doesn't make the bell disappear, which surely it should?

Agreed the bell works but I still do not receive in my Email box, notifications that new posts have been made on threads I am watching. I had this service a year or so back and then they stopped.

Hello - update from us. More investigation is needed to figure out why bells are ringing for some and not others. Fingers crossed will be sorted next week. Although in the meantime sounds like some people are discovering messages they weren't aware of. Which is nice. Have lovely weekends all smile

Here is a suggestion, which will probably be way off track and I will have made a complete fool of myself.

We have been given a fix to enable temporary access to the mobile/desktop sites.

Would it not work to have a hyperlink called Mobile or Desktop at the bottom of the page, which has that link given by GN as a temporary fix, hidden beneath it.

That's what I used to do on our school website.
Or have I got it completely wrong? blush.
