I do two washes every day. One whites and one colours. Washing machine goes on when i get up and second wash is in straight after. Thats it done for the day. A pretty regular and simple schedule. Once a week its bedding and always on a Monday x

I normally do 2-3 loads at the weekend. All my clothes & towels get chucked in together, the bedding gets done in a separate wash and then pet bedding, towels etc is done as a 3rd wash as and when needed. I've found myself getting quite obsessed with fabric softener and I love trying out lots of different scents.

I have to do small loads : with no outdoor space to dry and not things have to be hung and dried in the spare bed room . I usually try to aim for the weekend simply because that is when I have always done it . Anything large my grandson takes to the laundrette to do .

I do a load of washing whenever it needs doing, I separate clothes into whites, mixed colours and darks.
I like my clothes to smell strongly of fragrance after being washed.
I prefer to dry clothes out on the line but if not they are put on the landing and on radiators as I don't have a tumble dryer.

No routine really. I do a wash most days, sorting into lights and darks if I have enough or just throw it all in together with a colour catcher sheet

I usually separate it into lights and darks. I wash adult clothes separate to kids as well generally, mainly because I put most of the kids things in the tumble dryer while ours go on the airer. In the summer I hang it all on the line. As soon as a nice day is in site I have the washing on!

Hmmm, starting to think I need to resort my laundry schedule looking at all the posts! I literally wash things when needed- use tumble dryer most days. I have gone from washing things to 30 on most washes though- will be using some of the tips listed!

I'm washing for a large household of 11 so there is always too much waiting and I put the machine on several times a day! I sort everything into whites, reds, darks, greys, pinks and lights as it keeps the clothes brighter. I wash almost everything at 40C rather than 30C because the kids get grubby and roll about the floor(!) The towels I wash at 60C as the kids leave them all over the bathroom floor and sometimes they fall next to the toilet and I want to make sure that all the germs are killed! Tea towels are another item I wash at 60C along with the kitchen sponges - again to kill germs. I prefer liquid detergent as I find it clogs up the machine less and I often add a cap full of Sainsbury's basic disinfectant to any particularly grubby washes. I don't iron so everything is non-iron clothing and pulled straight out of the machine and hung up to dry. In Spring and the Summer it goes on the line, but in Winter I have to use the tumble drier for some of it or we would never dry everything!

I always use Fairy non bio as son has eczema. I wish I did have a schedule for washing on certain days because every day seems to be wash day in my house. Still have 2 adult children at home and it is unbelievable the amount of washing I have. I get all excited when I can see the bottom of the linen basket but the next time I look, it is half full again!

The amount of washing I do hasn't changed however the time it takes to do has increased due to even a quick wash taking over an hour, the washing machine seems to be constantly on and I keep waiting around for it to stop before going out which is inconvenient. I just separate everyday washes into lights and darks. Sheets and towels aren't washed on a specific day but as and when weather is suitable as all washing is dried outside.
