My goals are just to have a nice garden! Right now its a state with weeds and hasn't been attended to in years so I'm hoping to fix that and have a nice garden again

I'm trying to plant more bee and insect-friendly plants so the front garden has been turned into a little wildflower space. I also want a few patio pots for strawberries, tomatoes and easy to grow vegetables. Nothing too time-consuming or difficult to manage!

The last little tatty corner will go this year, then we'll be proper proud of our efforts. And showing off I dare say

Our garden is a complete mess. We basically need to start again from scratch. Dig out all the old weeds and plants, re-turf, put in new decking etc.

One side of my garden is open plan to the pavement. It's a nuisance as litter blows in, dogs not on leads get in and run around and sometimes people trying to take a short cut then realising they can't get out the other side! So my goal this year is to put in a low fence and add planting that will put on growth quickly to block it off.

Our garden is a hive of activity during Spring and Summer.

We already have a supply of plug plants we are nurturing indoors, as it's too cold yet to plant outside. These should provide a supply of colour for our patio containers, hanging baskets and planters.

In efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and save some money, we are hoping to grow more fruit and vegetables in addition to the strawberries, salads, onions, new potatoes and strawberries we already grow.

Homebase stores provide wonderful inspiration for all our garden planting, and we always look forward to filling up our trolley.

Having just moved from a flat to a house with a large garden, we are very much learning as we go. Its a case of lets plant it and see what happens. We intend to have a whole array of colour in the garden by summer. There are already lots of shrubs, but we are planting loads and loads of lowers. We also have a few planters we are trying to grow some veg in.

I am planning to plant out lots of tubs and baskets around our pond so,that it is the focus of the garden.

I really want to get a new table a chairs for the Summer and plant some flowers

I plan to paint the shed, install some solar lighting on the decking & have a little area to grow herbs.

We moved into our medically adapted house last year, so had to start again from scratch. We achieved quite a lot last year as my photo shows, but this year we need to start our planting. We are also hoping to grow our own fruit & veg, this is new to us so we are keeping our fingers crossed that it goes well!

Our plans this year are to tidy up the patio area - the slabs really need lifting and re-laying, though we might have to get someone in to do that bit as DH shoulder not so good, so that might or might not happen this year ?. I must re-paint the gate and re-varnish the wooden bench. Then there's all the general tidying and trimming. We have a thick hedge comprised of various types of plants that grows vigorously during the summer and that always needs a trim. (Don't you find the clearing away the cuttings worse than doing the actual trimming)? Then there are the pots and hanging baskets to sort once it warms up a bit. I've got some of the plants, just need the warmer weather to put them out. Oh, and DH wants a new shed! Goodness me, the list gets longer! ??

My hubby builds real working steam trains & engines, miniature garden railway, from scratch, not kits etc. We have just moved to a new house so our garden goal is to landscape a garden railway track around on raised beds (save bending down) , and also convert a normal garden shed into looking like a train station for his toys! Lots of work and planning and money, but will be good once its done for all the kids to play outside ie grandkids, kids and hubby!

Get rid of the cooch grass invading my beds! - without killing my perennials

We have the dreaded bindweed invasion moxeyns - it has lovingly entwined itself round all our plants despite being attacked by me - so much so that we have given in and grassed over the bed which was invaded the worst.

My garden is full of rampaging weeds and flowers which have turned into weeds. My aim for this summer is to try and contain the Japanese anemone which is running rampant.

My goal is to finish the patio DH started last year. He is unable to do it himself due to recent heart problems so my aim is to erect trellis fencing along the bottom to screen off his workshop and our car parking area.

We have a rockery at the front of the house. The shrubs in it have grown tall and are blocking the light. My goal is to get everything taken out, and to start again. I think it's beyond my husband and I, so I'd love to get a real gardener to come in and sort it out.

I've spent a lot of time in my garden over the last few years and it's really paid off this year so I can sit back and enjoy the rewards of my hard work!
I took out some Japanese anemones earlier in the year which I'm planning to replace with hydrangeas and I need to sort out my window boxes and hanging baskets.

I wanted to move house for years so hence neglected the garden. I lost the 'house of my dreams' last year so now I have decided to throw myself wholeheartedly into improving the one I have. I have just finished erecting a summerhouse and I want to get lots of border scrubs and let an area of the garden become wild for insects and birds. I have a large plot with lots of trees at the bottom of the garden (and I mean lots) so I want to create a bluebell wood there.

I'd like to get rid of the very weedy lawn and have gravel and beds instead but it's not a project you can do in bits - maybe I'm wrong.

I downsized a few years ago, to a much smaller house with a more manageable garden. So far, I've had a sitooterie installed (that's Scots for a summerhouse, somewhere to sit out and enjoy the sunshine...or, more likely, shelter from the rain This year, I need to give it a coat of varnish. The path needs a good clean too after the winter rains. And then it's time for the jobs I love...tending my herb garden, strawberry pots, tomatoes and blueberry bushes...experimenting with a small veg patch...My four grandchildren are all great little 'helpers' when they visit. Above all though, if funds allow, I'd like to invest in some robust garden furniture, where we can all sit and watch the bees on the buddlea bushes and the birds on the feeders or splashing around in the bird bath....Bliss!!

My aims this year are to prune when I should! I always mean to prune things like clematis and jasmine but find that come the winter I haven't got round to it's again.
Also instead of buying annuals I am going to buy one bigger statement plant every month in an attempt to get plants that flower at different times of the season.

I've just given up my little veggie patch and am transforming it into a garden bed with bee friendly flowers to match the rest of the garden. Very frustrating at the moment as I have annuals growing apace which will need to go out SOON, and the bloomin' weather is too cold!

I gave up my veggies as our local In Bloomers of which I'm a member have been given an community allotment to supervise on a new local estate. Lots of work to do there as it was field last year. I can't dig at the moment due to new knee but can weed and plant.

Geminijen our local NT pile - Blickling - has a sitooterie. (It used to be owned by the Lothian family.) It well and truly confuses visitors who can't figure out the Scots accent at a hall in deepest Norfolk. I've had people sitting in it ask me where it is and all sorts of pronunciation!
