We all have a dream destination that we’d love to travel to - somewhere where you’ve always wanted to go, but never got around to visiting. While some would love to go on Safari in South Africa, others would be happier lounging on the white sand beaches of Greece. Whether you’d like to travel near or far, there can be many barriers to travel. Perhaps you simply don’t have the time to travel, or think that the total cost of the trip might break the bank? Or maybe you have fears about not being able to speak the language, or your health not being protected while abroad? With this in mind, Staysure would love to hear from you.

Here’s what Staysure have to say: “At Staysure, we believe that if something’s worth doing, then it’s worth doing right. That’s why our customers voted us the UK’s Best Travel Insurance Provider in the British Travel Awards.

We all want to be able to enjoy our holiday, knowing that we will be covered should something happen. We do not want to have to worry about possible repercussions and for that reason having good quality travel insurance should be a priority.”

If you could book a ticket right now, where in the world would you like to visit? What are the barriers that are stopping you from going (eg health, finances, mobility, fear of flying)? Is travel insurance important to you when booking a trip? Does travel insurance give you the piece of mind that you’ll be protected when abroad, or do you have some reservations about what will be covered.

So whether you want to take the trip of a lifetime or just a short weekend away, share below what it is that’s stopping you and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one lucky GNer will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

I would love to travel to Brazil to experience the mix of cultures. What's stopping me is not being able to afford it.

Would visit my Sister in Australia if I had the money

I would love to visit Okinawa Japan. What put's me off is the cost of air travel. Also my husband's health issues makes insurance tricky and costly. I wouldn't feel comforable travelling so far without travel insurance.I have been lucky enough to have travelled to Japan and absolutely loved it there.

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would go to New Zealand

What stops me is the long flight and the cost involved

We would love to go to Singapore and Australia again, but since we did this in 2013 for our Golden Wedding, we have further health issues, and are obviously 7 years older. We did manage a cruise to the Caribbean in December, and we were fine, but the insurance cost as much as a holiday for one of us, although all health issues were covered. Maybe we might manage Singapore, insurance permitting.

I'd love to go to the Seychelles, but my husband doesn't want to take any more long haul flights.

It would probably be Antarctica...not achievable on our budget, not your standard package holiday, and not your run of the mill trip to organise, so if you're asking, I'm going!!

I am longing to go back to Egypt, a country where I lived and worked for so many years. My husband has never been there, and I can't wait to show him the amazing monuments and breathtaking landscapes!

I'd love to go to Tokyo. I would love to eat sushi in Japan and explore the city of Tokyo, eat in a restaurant run by robots and explore the futuristic culture.

I have always wanted to go to Santorini in Greece for the past 50 years and something always cropped up that needed our saved cash - but I do the lottery once a week so fingers crossed!

I would love to go to South America because there is so much culture to see. I haven't been to any of the countries in South America and feel like it would be an experience.

I`ve always wanted a few days in Las Vegas, just for curiosity`s sake, also to go to New York for Christmas shopping. But my dream holiday would be to tour the Western coast of Scotland, including the Western Isles. I love beautiful scenery and history, so would be well accommodated there.
What`s stopping me is my disabled daughter, my cat, my own lack of mobility, and the fact that since my husband died I don`t have the courage to travel alone. Then there`s the cost!
I would always have travel insurance, wouldn`t dare not to, plus many companies make it mandatory.
