I've cleared the afternoon of plans, made sure I have some popcorn in the house, and a cold beer in the fridge. Can't wait!

Granny23 Mon 20-Jun-16 23:38:21

I was thinking of you AnnieBach when I heard the great result. As my team didn't qualify I'm a temporary Wales supporter.

Well done Wales. The o.h. sat in despair at England's performance. I don't watch.

DanniRae Tue 21-Jun-16 08:50:47

WELL DONE WALES!! I am delighted for you smile

Anniebach Tue 21-Jun-16 09:44:30

I so wish Scotland had qualified. We have to cheer NI on now Granny23 . I am just amazed we are in the last sixteen, I was amazed we qualified though smile

I admit I am taking delight in the fact the BBC sports commentators have to
adjust their reporting and acknowledge Wales and Ireland are there too.

So now it's come on Ireland

Anniebach Wed 22-Jun-16 09:40:36

Ireland through, fantastic,

Anniebach Sat 25-Jun-16 18:56:07

Well played Wales , quarter finals. Yeeees

So sorry Ireland, it is always so emotional playing against you

gettingonabit Sat 25-Jun-16 18:57:17

Yay!! Through to quarter final!

Well done Wales. wine

LullyDully Sat 25-Jun-16 19:03:14

Well done Wales.grin

Charleygirl Sat 25-Jun-16 19:04:29

I agree, well done Wales- I wonder who they will be up against next?

Greyduster Sat 25-Jun-16 20:01:31

Well, two for the price of one today! Wales won against N.Ireland, and my grandson played for Wales in their school mini Euro 2016 football tournament at the Summer Fair (in absolutely awful, pouring rain, bless them) and they won the tournament! Grandad's cup runneth over!

tanith Sat 25-Jun-16 20:13:15

Nice one Wales, commiserations to N.Ireland.

harrigran Sat 25-Jun-16 20:16:12

I made history today by watching two football matches, I am not sure I will ever get over the excitement.

Coolgran65 Sat 25-Jun-16 21:59:52

Dh is watching his third match of the day.
I am lying on the bed, watching Casualty and eating too much chocolate.

Anniebach Mon 27-Jun-16 22:04:45

So sorry England

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 27-Jun-16 22:20:35

That was a shock, but Iceland was the better team tonight.

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 27-Jun-16 22:21:41

Anybody notice Roy Hodgson was reading from a prepared sheet?

Anniebach Mon 27-Jun-16 23:05:44

Hodgson has resigned

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 27-Jun-16 23:17:25

That's what I was talking about AB, it looked like he had his statement ready prepared. I wonder if he was stepping down no matter how far England got?

Anniebach Mon 27-Jun-16 23:33:47

I think I heard a commentator say his contract was due to end in a few days ,NI could have misheard. I now understand what you meant about the prepared sheet,

gettingonabit Tue 28-Jun-16 08:32:48

Can't help feeling sorry for the fans too....such a poor show, England.

Feel sorry for Hodgson, too. He deserved a better performance than that. sad

PRINTMISS Tue 28-Jun-16 08:43:47

I just wonder if the England team knew the point of the game - i.e. score goals. They were pathetic - totally useless at playing a game they are grossly over-paid to do. It is their JOB, if they cannot do it, they should be made redundant. They did not deserve the support of the loyal fans who paid a great deal of money to cheer them - ended in boos, and quite rightly so.
