I am having to liberally apply smelling salts to Mr. I

A good way to attract a younger audience to the Commonwealth Games, or 'just another tournament' for the devotees?

I would be better at those than the physical kind!

It's not just a hobby. It's a skill, if done well, as many hobbies can become.
If spectators will be interested, why not include it in the Games?

ixion Mon 22-Aug-22 10:23:03

Ah, might it run alongside Wordle in our daily challenge?!

A skill isn't a sport, though.

I think I'll ask if they'll include a speed race for knitting.
Gold for the person who completes a jumper in the shortest time including sewing up! Points deducted for mistakes.

Last computer game I played was that tennis thing back in the 70’s !!

Oldnproud Mon 22-Aug-22 12:07:05

But it is a game, as in the Commonwealth games wink

dogsmother Mon 22-Aug-22 12:07:49

Oh my goodness I have to declare two of my AC will be thrilled , they will also probably know about this.

Oldnproud Mon 22-Aug-22 12:10:27

They should open it up to Snakes and Ladders and Ludo- my 9 year old dgd somehow wins every time we play!
Oh, and table soccer, as she beats the whole fsmily at that, too, much to her big brothers annoyance!

Update:

Competitive gaming will not be a medal event in the 2026 Commonwealth Games, after a surprise U-turn.
