I’d like Williams to win, break the age record, but the youngsters coming through are good to see.

Judd Trump for me, though it’s a difficult choice between him and Mark Williams. I have long supported Judd.

I am pleased Ronnie O’Sullivan is out. I know I am wrong because the other players hold him in such high regard but I feel turning up to the Crucible with no preparation is another in a long line of examples of a lack of respect for the sport.

My dad was a huge fan of Ronnie and the last thing he said before he died was that he wouldn’t see if Ronnie won his latest tournament.
