Anyone for Tennis??

I’m worn out now!

So glad Joint won. Such a fuss about Serena’s return

Yay!!

Yay, she’s done it. What a cool cookie. Such a good win.

What a match! My nerves have been well and truly wracked. I had been looking forward to Serena coming back and winning again but was very soon won over by Maya. Really really delighted for her,

What a good game. I loved seeing Serena play again, she's still a great player at 45! Joint was a worthy winner though, she held her nerve and will be a huge boost for her.

Girl done good💐

Argh! Double fault

Come on Joint. You’re nearly there.

Oh yes. Very proud but it’s so nerve wracking to watch as a fan. I just can’t imagine watching as a mum.
I was bad enough watching my 2 at swimming galas.

Perhaps I should stop backing Joint 😔 it's agony

I'd be very proud Bridie

Being mum.

Soooo nerve wracking.
Imagine bringing Maya’s mum

Me too!
Did Serena think she would breeze back to success?
In receipt of adulation in spades.

What a brave young lady is Maya Joint!
I'm backing her too.

Am watching the Williams/Joint match now. Joint holding up really well against Williams and I hope she can win.
So much fuss has been made of Williams return to Wimbledon. I think the commentators would have licked the tennis shoes of Serena Williams if they got the chance.
lol can you tell I’m not a fan?

The first two days have been great and today I've seen 4 tie breaks in different matches.

The last one was Berrettini. His coach is lovely and they keep showing him 😂

I can understand not wanting to be interviewed immediately after a 5 set match that lasted 3.5 hours, but did anyone else think it was rude of Mensik to talk to the Czec fans in Czec while being interviewed or is it just me?

Bit of excitement watching Samuel (GB) taking Mensik (Cze) to 5 sets. Not over yet.

Nice to see my ex neighbour's DGS Jason Fearnley through to Round 2. Bill was so proud of him and played with him on their court at home. QQ l

I will dip in and out.

Streaky

Has anyone come across the French umpire with the really deep voice. I think his name is Kader Nouni. Forget the tennis, I just love listening to his voice.

I’ve found him!

He's on Court 3 where Samuel (GB) is in the fifth set

Yes he was umpiring in 2017 when I was lucky enough to get centre court tickets in the ballot.
He has a very mesmerising voice.

I don't enjoy watching Emma Raducanu, like you Gingster I think she's often a disappointment and I think over eggs when she is doing well. Never understood why she was Sports Personality of the Year.

I don't watch as much as I used too as the players I loved to see over the years no longer play so the only match I'm excited about is Serena's on centre court later this afternoon.

Carlos Ramos was a onetime heart throb too!

Especially when he says Lurrve 15!
