Any tennis fans? Especially Wimbledon?

Sad to see our female number one not competing due to injury! Emma R did so well at Queens.

Still, this week we do have a number of Brits and a good few wildcards.

Will you be watching and who are you supporting?

I’ll def be watching all our girls and boys and the Williams Sisters who are playing (as wild cards) in the doubles.

Might have to turn off the volume if there is too much “grunting” on court, drives me nuts!

Both the men's matches will be at similar times! The two ladies games are being played first, one starting at 1pm and the other 1.30pm. Who planned that?

So now who to watch, Fery/Cobolli or Fritz/Zverev? Should both be good games.

What an incredible match last night.
Looking forward to Fery's Quarter Final this afternoon.

So am I, fortunately it’s too hot to do anything else!
No lazy guilt feelings here grin

I don't like Novak much but he did play some incredible tennis.

It was an incredible match and now I am too wide awake to sleep 🎾🎾🎾

The Djokovic match, 5.15 hrs was fantastic. He is incredible, at 39 he stood up,to the young Canadian in the boiling sun. What stamina he has, it was a really enjoyable match.

I’m so happy for Fery and the Italian he’s playing is very sweet and funny!

I’m behind Coco in her next match

It was such a good match, as was Coco’s. They’re real ‘nail biters’ when the points are so close.

He does play to his audience tho', doesn't he?

Whipping up the frenzy and adulation.

nanaK54 Tue 07-Jul-26 23:00:12

I am totally delighted for him.

Totally MayBee. Amazing resilience. Well done Djokovic.
The Canadian is darned good . Someone to watch?

MayBee70 Tue 07-Jul-26 22:47:55

I’ve never liked Novak but I now have to acknowledge his brilliance. How can two people play to that level for 5 hours? I’m exhausted just watching it.

Grammaretto Tue 07-Jul-26 22:07:46

I can't help wanting Novak to make it though it looks increasingly unlikely 😟
Fab tennis

C'mon Novak!

As an avid football fan I rarely watch tennis, but will be tomorrow.

Getting back to the problem of telling the players apart - thank goodness Dimitrov had his baseball cap on back to front, which was the only way I could distinguish between the two of them!

Fery is fantastic isn’t he? He just never gives up. A wonderful attitude.

Was leaving Wimbledon this evening just as Arthur was in the tie break. What a cheer as he won. We were on Court 1, great day and thankfully sitting well out of the sun.

MG55 Mon 06-Jul-26 22:12:45

Well done Fery 👏👏🎾🎾

ixion Mon 06-Jul-26 20:57:54

Just glanced up - was Roger Federer really on his own in the Royal Box?

Have they always had Lloyd Loom chairs?

Smileless2012 Mon 06-Jul-26 20:55:21

Amazing.
